I've had plenty of surgeries (8) and EVERY time I've come out of anesthesia I've hurt and I've been super nauseous. This time I went in for surgery 9th time being put under for surgery. Dr. Kandice Olsen, MD was the Anesthesiologist. My surgery was at 7 pm so I was on a super empty stomach when I came out from the anesthesia, I wasn't in pain and I wasn't nauseous for the first time ever! I was so impressed with Dr Olsen and glad she listened to my concerns and was able to help me. I had anxiety before surgery because I knew I was going to be hurting and nauseous after because its always happened, she was able to give me something for the anxiety and prevent the pain and nausea. If I ever have to have surgery again ( knock on wood ) I really hope Dr. Olsen is the one working she was so amazing!
