List of James G. Howard's Reviews
From pre-surgery to my surgical procedure and then for the follow-up care, Dr. Howard and his staff were very professional, friendly, and caring. All my questions were patiently and competently answered and my after care was smooth and thorough. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff.
He is a kind and good man, just make sure he knows your full history before surgery (reads your chart).
I have been working with Dr. Howard since 2008. He is the kindest, most understanding doctor I have ever encountered in my 60+ years. I always feel he has the latest information to treat my condition. He is one of a kind and any patient should feel confident in his care.
He has treated my mother for years I would say that with out his care she would have near to no eyesight. The care has been extremely top notch and I would recommend him and his team to everyone.
Removed floaters I'm my eye. Made me feel very comfortable .
Dr. Howard and his staff are friendly caring people who demonstrate the kind of confidence and competence that quickly puts patients at ease. Although squeezed in as a last minute referral, I was made to feel as though I were their only reason for being there. The need for every test was thoroughly explained and the results were covered in depth. My problem was diagnosed and laser surgery to correct a small retinal tear was performed on my initial visit. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
Dr.Howard is amazing. I have had retinopathy and a retina detachment and he has fixed my eye and made me feel comfortable with every aspect of my surgery, my recovery and I see him annually to stave off any further need for surgery. He and his staff are fantastic and come highly recommended.
Dr.Howard is one of the most attentive and caring Doctors That I have ever come across. He greets you each time with a caring handshake and smile along with how are you. His manor of care and handling of his patiences is second to none. I would recommend him to anyone in need of eye care and have. His staff are just as friendly and caring. Great Job 5 Stars in my book
Here are the facts. You judge for yourself. Told my situation was serious, they worked me in for an emergency evaluation which I appreciated, the doctor I saw was very inconsiderate and told me I probably had a serious condition with his hand ON THE DOOR KNOB as he said it, then walked out. Told me I needed an Emergency MRI which I got in the morning, no follow up call that night. Called the next morning to have a medical assistant tell me my Doctor was out of town for a conference- and that no one could read my MRI for a week because he was the only one who could read it. ( this is a MRI they told me the results could be life threatening, I would have gladly waited a week if they would't have made it sound so urgent). Called again and asked for the on call doctor to read it, and it took me 10 minutes of convincing her to do so, ( she was very rude. and eventually said that is what she told me they would do in the first place and denied she told me I would have to wait a week.) Needless to say she degraded me and hurt my feelings just for asking a doctor to read an URGENT MRI that had been done over a day ago. Trying to be professional, I called the manager to express my concerns. Who treated me the same and was very rude. This is a private practice (not a part of IHC) so I asked if I could talk to HR and she said she was HR. She told me her staff was not at fault, and if I didn't like it.. to go somewhere else. No accountability. That was my experience. I have gone elsewhere. So if you receive poor care here it will not be resolved. Not in my experience. I hope others will not have to go through what I did with this office in one of the MOST stressful times of my life. Isn't that the time you are supposed to be most compassionate? Very disappointed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
