Skilled and trustworthy.

I appreciated Dr Reichman's straight forward answers. His answers can be trusted, while somewhat teasing or used humor to address my issues. His personality fit me perfectly. I need his help again as soon as possible.

My mother was brought into emergency on January 31st 1993. Mother had an AVM on her brain which burst and went on noticed for 10 hours during the night. After being rushed into emergency, Dr Reichman saved her life and I got another 14 years with her. I am in a different state than Utah but I am moving back as I am starting to have neurological problems and won't see any other neurosurgeon but Dr. Reichmann. It disappoints me to see that so many people say he doesn't listen and is arrogant. He was up front,to the point and honest with me before during after surgery and with my mother's care and her recovery, some of which was not good news but he didn't hesitate to sugarcoat it which was truly appreciated! When you have brain injuries another trauma sugar coating and sweetness is not what is to be expected. Expertise and precision is more desired. You are my hero Dr Reichmann. I will never be able to thank you enough for saving my mother's life!

NEW PATIENTS, BEWARE: If I could give this office a zero star, I would. Dr Richeman not only left my wife waiting an hour and 40 minutes past her scheduled appointment time, but when he came in for her new patient appointment, he was extremely rude, curt and short and clearly has the worst bedside manner of any doctor we have ever encountered. My wife has been living in pain for months now, to the point that she is on 8 prescribed Norco a day and guess what good ol' Dr. Richeman's suggestion was, an anti inflammatory medication and 6 weeks of physical therapy before he would even look at actually fixing the problem. We should have know as soon as we were scheduled with a doctor at an Intermountain Healthcare office, that this is what it was going to be. Living in this much pain and on this much pain medication is no way to live and this doctor offered absolutely no help. We will be seeing a different neurosurgeon with in the University of Utah clinic's and I hope future patients see this review and cancel before they waste their time like my wife did today. WORST NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENT EVER! Do not waste your time or money on an office that clearly has terrible time management and absolutely zero regard for wanting to help their patients.

I went to Dr. Reichman because I needed a second opinion and I had heard great things about him. Some of my friends went to him and were pleased with there outcome. When he came in the room he never pulled up my MRI on his computer screen to explain to me what was going on with my back and neck. He was leaning on the table like he was tired and was so removed from the situation. I was very very disappointed. I personally think maybe he needs to retire. Please re think getting any kind of an opinion from this Dr. Reichman.

Shouldn't have to wait 1 hour to be seen. It is unprofessional and inconsiderate to make your patients wait especially when they have painful back problems that make sitting in the waiting room chairs painful. Not one update or word of when we would be seen from the secretary.

Over the past couple years I have had to have 2 neck fusions. Mark is incredible and I trust him completely. Would strongly recommend him and the only surgeon I want fixing me.

Dr Reichman has done 2 surgeries on my spine. The first was to remove a plate in my neck, the second was supposed to have my lumbar spine fused from L-3 to S-1. He fused L-1 to L-5 and never did S-1. Now I am told that I have to wait until September just to get an appointment because I am on Medicare and they only allow 2 MEDICARE PATIENTS PER WEEK NOW. He should have fixed it before!

I saw Dr. Reichman today to see if I need to have another back surgery. I have had 3 back surgeries in the past. Prior to my appointment, I filled out a 6 page document, which I assumed would be reviewed thoroughly. I arrived for X-Rays today, and then followed with my appointment. I cant rate anything related to surgery with Dr. Reichman, but I was really disappointed that it appeared that he didn't look over the paperwork I filled out ahead of time. The questions he asked me showed that he reviewed little if anything about my lengthy history with back surgeries, injections, nerve blocks, Rhizotomy's, etc. It seemed like we were just going over check the boxes relating to anti-inflammatory medication usage, physical therapy, and injections. Overall, just a disappointing experience in every way. I feel like it is getting harder and harder to find a doctor who takes a genuine interest in your overall health.

This Doctor did a 3 level cervical fusion on me and I later found out ,I really only needed my C-3-4 done .I had a great deal of pain after my surgery and for many years.I finally got a revision. This Doctor ruined my life! Do not let him touch you. I am still suffering from what he did to me. My cervical spine above and below my fusion has now neural foraminal narrowing bilaterally. My suffering never ends!
