I have now been to Cache Valley Hospital twice and both times have been amazing. The first time was an ER visit and then the next time for surgery. My ER visit was quick and efficient. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This last time was for surgery and everyone was amazing from start to finish. I have always struggled getting very sick from anesthesia and have ended up staying in the hospital for days. My staff and Dr. made sure the anesthesiologist knew my situation and he came prepared with a plan. I recovered from surgery so quickly because of their proactive natures. I have never had a good surgery hospital experience until this one. I am so thankful for all the staff here at Cache Valley Hospital including the anesthesiologist and my Dr. They are all incredible

Everyone I encountered was nice. According to my insurance estimate I did not have to pay as much as the usual requested amount. After the receptionist looked at my insurance I ended up paying less out of pocket than I thought I would. I had a MRI done. I was surprised that the tech did not tell me to close my eyes. He did put headphones over my ears to help with the sounds. I could still hear the sounds but the headphones helped so the sounds were not as loud.

The check in process was efficient and done in a timely manner. The radiology team was kind and did well at explaining what is going to happen. After the procedure was done I felt like I knew what the next step would be and how to proceed.

I had heard good things about the Cache Valley hospital and decided to try it. I found out they have a new laparoscopic machine and it has been there long enough that the docs are familiar with it. I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and when I was wheeled into my room and was awake enough to see my surroundings I was astounded at the size of the room. It was HUGE I found out they use these large rooms for gynecological surgeries as well as baby deliveries. But even the regular rooms were larger than other hospitals I’ve been in. I also liked that everything was on the same floor. But beyond the exceptional environment was the hospital staff. I’m going to try to list them all below because they were all excellent. But I connected with one nurse in particular or rather she connected with me because of her kindness skill and intuition. Her name is Chrysta McCombsBodily and she was with me more than the other nurses. She went above and beyond in every way and was extremely professional. She anticipated every need I had and was very sensitive to the trauma I felt by having two surgeries back to back. She could tell I was different coming out of the second surgery than the first and noticed I had tears streaming and got a tissue to dab them. She spoke softly to me when I came back and helped me transition she even turned the lights down when she noticed they were bothering me. She made sure my family had snacks and drinks which was very helpful since I wanted them to stay by me and that way they didn’t have to leave. She and the other nurses put warm blankets on me a couple times when they noticed I was cold and they made sure my pain didn’t get out of control. I loved how the staff answered every question I had even though my memory wasn’t great and never made me feel bad when I asked the same questions. I loved how good everyone was at their jobs. I’ve had several negative experiences in hospitals especially when I had babies so many years ago. Because of the extraordinary care I received here I would not hesitate to schedule another surgery at this hospital or recommend it to others. But I’m very fearful of what the future may bring because of the firings that are expected for all those who will not get the Covid shots. These dedicated servants have worked throughout the pandemic without thought of themselves. Some have had Covid and have documented immunity. Where will it leave us if at least 20% of this excellent staff are summarily fired? Is this how we thank those who stuck with us during the height of the pandemic? In and out was a breeze care received from nurses they did their best. My surgery had a unseen complication and I had to go back into the Operating room for a second time. How do you say that the surgeon made a mistake that he needed to fix. Yeah it was a bummer Im healing well now but it was an extremely painful time between surgeries.
