A fat gut doctor should have been my first clue. He hands you papers to sign while you are butt necked on the table all hooked up for the procedure. Dr. Vandersteen performed a scope to discover the source of my GERD. He was nice and it was straightforward… until I needed a refill. Without notification, he decreased the dosage on my medication, which caused my GERD to soar. He fixed the dosage after I contacted him, but when it came time for a new refill, I scheduled a new follow-up and requested the refill from the office. They never passed that on to the doctor, so I called again and the assistant told me they’d let me know. They never did and after calling again to find out the status, they said they wouldn’t refill it until after my appointment. Since I can’t rely on him or his office for communication, I will need to find a new GI doc.

Waiting time was only a couple of minutes and the waiting time in the exam room was only a few minutes also. The staff was very friendly and I feel they did a great job. Dr Vandersteen was very nice and answered all of my questions. I am very happy I chose them to take care of my health. I will definitely refer them to my friends.

I saw the doctor for a second opinion on my Limphositic Microscopic Coilitis. on Budesonide 9mg. He encouraged me to cut dosage to 6mg. Said my problem with urgencey and accidents was because of weak muscles in the pelvic floor. He recomended Lotomil and pelvic floor physical therapy. He gave me a referral. He was very informative and kind and listened well to the patient. I felt like he was respectful and honest and straight forward. I was glad I made an apt. to see him,
