List of Robert Ziegler's Reviews
Never saw him. I had a procedure scheduled with him for almost 2 months I get a call two days ahead of the procedure saying that he is sick and he can’t do it. I get that stuff happens. But I tried explaining to them that I have been in pain and need the procedure done as soon as possible but they still pushed me back more than two months out on top of what I have already waited. I can tell with Dr. Zieglers Office and assistants the patient is NOT first priority. It’s been pretty frustrating. Really I couldn't say much about Dr. Ziegler himself, but Overall his staff has been a joke to work with.
Dr. Ziegler has been amazing to work with, he is very knowledgeable and personable. He treats the patient as a "person" and not just a file. Highly recommend.
My experience with Dr. Ziegler was very disappointing. I had made an appointment to find resolution for a number of issues I’ve been experiencing for quite some time. The other reviews made me optimistic and I was let down. Dr. Ziegler and I had a telemed conversation and right from the beginning I felt as though I was not being listened to. I began telling him my symptoms and providing family history when he suddenly cut me off and said wow, you have a lot of problems and it sounds like Celiac Disease. Wanting to rule out all the possibilities, I agreed to have a blood test done to see if this was the problem. However, this according to him would be related to only half of what I’m going through. When I addressed other concerns he said he would prescribe me some medication and advise I take a some over the counter products. When I would talk he would immediately jump in to talk over me. This is how the whole conversation went. After he asked if I had any further questions - I came back to one more thing we hadn’t discussed - weight gain. He told me to stop eating so much sugar if I wanted to lose weight I had put on. Weight I have put on only when I began experiencing several GI related problems. He did not ask about my diet, my exercise habits or any other questions. Just said to keep my sugar down. As a healthy person who is incredibly cautious about what I eat and exercise 5 days a week - I began to challenge this idea a bit. Rather than listen to my concerns - he just kept interrupting me and told me to come back after I kept track of my sugar intake and we’d go from there if I hadn’t seen a difference. After being interrupted for the majority of the conversation - I decided to agree and be done with the consultation. After wrapping up with an assistant, I was in tears. This has been very difficult for me and is affecting my life. I would think a specialist of this nature would be sensitive to that. I got the blood test shortly after and that experience was great. The lab employees were very professional. Later, when I arrived at the pharmacy, the prescription he wrote was not covered by my insurance and was $63 dollars for the generic brand. I paid for it and have not seen much difference in the two weeks of taking it. According to Ogden Clinic, Dr. Ziegler received my lab results on Friday the 21st and he’d need to contact me. They said they couldn’t release my results until he reviewed them. When I didn’t hear anything on Tuesday - I called. They stated I should expect a call the next day. I didn’t hear back until Friday and it was from someone else in his office. I will not be following up and am seeking another specialist. I found Dr. Ziegler to be rude and unprofessional. It’s the first time I’ve had an experience like that with anyone associated with Ogden Clinic!
I’ve had 2 colonoscopies from Dr. Ziegler in 7 years. He has been professional and efficient both instances. His staff is also courteous and respectful.
Review of problems with a bleeding ulcer attack
Dr. Ziegler was professional, warm, personable and knowledgeable. He took ample time to listen to my concerns, explain the historical background of possible conditions and promptly scheduled the appropriate tests. I’m very satisfied.
Professional and answered my Questions
I've always enjoy Dr. Ziegler and his staff. Dr. Ziegler is thorough in my office visits. I would definitely refer people to his office.
Dr. Ziegler was awesome! Took his time, explained everything (in terms I could understand) and gave me great instructions for post-appointment care. So happy I found a good "tummy" doc!
One thing I can say is I have always liked Dr ZIEGLER I went to him years ago then I moved to Idaho for about 12 years So now I am back with Dr ZIEGLER ..He explained why I was so sick what it could be. So that made feel better about why I was so sick.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
