I told Thorpe about my pre existing conditions and told him my previous specialist told me to tell him I was high risk. He seems to appear concerned but when I try to emphasize how seriously I am worried about my pregnancy symptoms or pain he always has the response that it's pregnancy nerves or that it's normal because pregnancy causes pain and everything changes with pregnancy. Baby heart rate is still in the okayish range, but I wish the doctor would be more invested in my health and concerns. After complaining of pain for months to the office and to him, I find out my pain was due to an infection. I feel like I told Thorpe of all possible symptoms but he always seems to rush out as soon as possible. When checking the baby's fundal and heart, it took less than 2 minutes. When asked whether my adenomyosis and stage 4 Endo that had recently been operated on ( as well as my cervix, bladder, diaphragm and rectum) would affect the pregnancy, he said there wasn't any evidence to show it would. Well how come I can find tons of documented evidence on research doctorate journals saying otherwise? After discovering my infection, Iv decided I just don't feel safe with his advice
Dr. Thorpe is a rare find and true gem of a doctor and person. After a long and awful battle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder, years of failed treatments, and monthly reoccurring thoughts of suicidal ideation I decided I wanted to have a total hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy to cure my pmdd. Right away, at my first appointment, we were welcomed by genuine compassion. Dr. Thorpe was very educated about pmdd and the negative effects it can have on a woman’s life. Dr. Thorpe made me feel calm and educated every step of the way. The surgery itself went flawlessly and the recovery aside from a few minor hiccups has been much much easier than I ever expected! I’ve gained my life back and now love being a mom, wife, have dreams I want to fulfill, am motivated, and have a life again. This would not be possible if it weren’t for Dr. Thorpe. If you are needing any kind of gynecological procedure or surgery done I can not recommend Dr. Thorpe enough!
I credit Dr. Thorpe as the reason my baby boy and I survived very serious emergency during my pregnancy. Even before he saved our lives, during the pregnancy he was great about explaining what was going on at each stage, answering questions, with all the info. If you have a complicated or scary pregnancy situation I would highly recommend him. (He's probably good at regular not-too-scary pregnancies too!)
Showed such compassion when I miscarried. Good Doctor!
He was awesome! I have been dead set on wanting a female OB but he has changed my mind. He seemed to actually care. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. Even my husband stated that he was one of the best OB’s we have been to!
I had bad endometriosis, he disregard my pain telling my husband I was drug seeking. I was actually with Adenomyosis and needing serious treatment including hysterectomy and a damaged bladder. Never going back.
Dr. Thorpe delivered our baby girl over a year ago, and he was better than I could have ever imagined in a Doctor. He has a great warmth about him and makes you feel comfortable even with something so uncomfortable as pregnancy and child birth. We were delighted to see him at the hospital when in labor, and couldn't have asked for a better pregnancy and birthing experience due to his professionalism, skill, knowledge, and personality. Thanks so much Dr. Thorpe!
Dr. Thorpe delivered my beautiful baby boy at 37 weeks due to having preeclampsia. After 26 hours of trying for a natural birth using cytotec and pitocin it was clear that my body was not responding to the treatment and a c-section was needed. Dr. Thorpe was very caring and wanted to make sure that I was okay with the c-section at the same time giving his medical professional oppinion that he felt it was best. He did an amazing job with the c-section and getting my baby here safely.
Dr. Thorpe delivered my third child. I did natural childbirth and he was a great help. He gave me great advice and had amazing bedside manners. I wish he could have delivered my first and second children too!
Dr. Thorpe is a fabulous, caring doctor who always made me feel welcome and important. He took time to answer all my questions and really listened to my concerns. All of the doctors he works with are great, but I feel that he is the best. I was very happy when I found out he was on call when I went into labor. Unfortunately, the office staff and nurses are another story. They were often rude, neglectful, and made many visits a terrible experience. They made many mistakes including sending me to the wrong office for an appointment, billing the wrong insurance after I clearly gave them my new insurance, forgetting about me in a room, and whenever I had to work out these problems they acted as if it was all my fault and were not helpful or apolgetic at all. They do not have call waiting and the phone is always busy so I always have to waste at least 20 minutes every time I call just trying to get through. It is very sad that such a great group of doctors cannot get a better handle on this situation. I am glad that I have moved so I do not have to go there again.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
