Peter Drewes's Online Review Report Card

I recently had my second miscarriage and although it was devastating Dr. Drewes and the entire staff at Valley in Provo was incredible. Dr. Drewes was direct but very compassionate. He took time to talk me through everything and made sure he had a full plan in place to help me heal from this pregnancy loss and then keep a pregnancy in the future. After every appointment and/or blood draw he made sure that the nurses called me and that I was taken care of. I recommend Dr. Drewes for a honest, kind, and direct provider. As well as the Valley Women’s Provo Practice and their amazing Nurses, MA’s, and phlebotomists.

Dr Drewes recently delivered our baby who was in distress. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and calm as he explained what was happening and what needed to happen to make sure our baby was okay. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting a safe and efficient delivery. He is very very good at what he does!!

Convinced this man paid for all his positive reviews because I could never in good conscience recommend seeing him. I’ve normally been seen by other OBGYNs at Valley; however, recently I was seen by Dr. Drewes and will be requesting never to be seen by him again. I am currently 32 weeks pregnant. In my appointment, Dr. Drewes tried to say that I needed to start restricting my diet and cutting out certain food groups. When I asked if this “suggestion” (he did not act like I had a choice) was based on the baby or myself being at risk, he admitted that there were no present health concerns but that it was just his personal recommendation. He was very dismissive of me and the questions I had. I am completely disgusted that a medical provider would encourage food restriction and dieting PARTICULARLY during pregnancy without a reasonable medical concern. If this happened to me I’m sure it has happened to others. Do yourself a favor and see someone else for your pregnancy checkups.

I have enjoyed working with most providers at valley obgyn provo group. And I have been planning to deliver with them, however when I had an appointment with Dr. Drewes and discussed my preparation for birth using hypnobirthing and discussed my birthing plan he was kind but not very supportive. I did not feel he took me seriously that I had put work and thought into my preferences. He expressed I would come across as inflexible, assumed I had merely copied my plan off the internet, expressed I could be compromising the health of my baby, and would even be joked about behind my back at the hospital. He appeared to care about my baby and want to use his knowledge as a provider to deliver her safely, however I did not feel I could trust that my preferences would be respected. Rather he would tend toward his preferences even when it was not medical necessity. As of this moment I am considering switching to another provider despite my overall positive experience with Valley OBGYN to find a provider who will be more supportive of my desire and preparation for natural childbirth. I am 37 weeks along.

Dr. Drewes performed my wife’s C-section and he did an outstanding job! You can barely see the Incision and he is the best of both worlds… I feel like we got an OB and a plastic surgeon all in one. Highly recommended

I had a great experience with this clinic. Dr. Drewes has been so great and his expertise and bedside manner were more then impressive. I had a hysterectomy and was released from the hospital very quick and my recovery was speedy. I was overly impressed by Dr. Drewes and would strongly recommend him.

He is awesome. He is very knowledgeable. He is so kind.

Every appointment I had with Dr Drewes was on time. He was professional and answered all my questions. Delivered our baby with no issues.

I met with him twice during maternity care prior to delivering. Each time he was professional and answered all my questions without making me feel dumb or ill-informed. I waited less than 10 minutes at each appointment to see him from the time I walked in the door.

Dr. Drews and his staff is amazing and they take the time that you need. I am done with having babies and went in there for other services and it was great. I refer him all the time because he is wonderful at what he does.
