Richard W. Later's Online Review Report Card

Truthfully, you will never find a better pediatrician. I get emotional even talking about it! We absolutely LOVE Dr Later!! He's been our pediatrician now for 6 years and I'm forever grateful for him. In life, I feel like it's pretty rare to find a doctor who truly cares about their patients. (I've only met two so far, one of which is Dr Later) With Richard, you never feel like another number. He's so thorough every time we meet with him and he always takes the time to listen and explain. He is so keen, observant and educated. I will be pretty sad and not sure what to do when he retires. Thank you for being a wonderful doctor to our kiddos Dr Later, we love you! (I do agree with other reviews that the staff isn't that great, but Cindy is an MA there who we love. She is so great with shots and makes them pretty quick and painless! So basically, we go for Dr Later and Cindy!)

I know Dr Later since 1999, when my oldest son born and my husband was attending BYU. After having a hard time findi g a good pediatrician to my son tha was always sick during his first months of life, We four Dr Later! He was my son’s pediatrician since then and the best he and my other two kids could have had. When I moved to Layton I used to drive an hour for my kids to be seen by him. Also, he is a fluent speaker of Portuguese and Spanish.

I can't say I love Dr. Later or Suzanne but ive onky seen them one time each, BUT I can say Kristi has been nothing but AMAZING the 6 years we have been seeing her. We moved 3 hrs away and I drove 3 hours for my son to see her. She is attentive and caring and has gone above and beyond many times. I know she truly cares about her patients. She remembers many things about our lives, medical and personal. She has been a rock for me as a single mother who dealt with postpartum depression On top of having a child with some medical concerns. She has never left us hanging. She has always made sure he has gotten the care he needs and pointed us in the right direction to get him testing and diagnosed. She is truly 1 in a million. Also, she is always willing to hear my concerns when i may disagree with something. I will continue to take my child to her as long as she is practicing in Utah!

I have been taking my children to Dr. Later for almost 16 years. He knows them and me to which I am grateful to be not another person! We live in Payson, and I drive 30 minutes to see him no matter what. All the office staff is amazing and so is Suanne, & Christy. I HIGHLY recommend this office and Dr. Richard Later! And I also recommend Dr Robert Later in Sandy, who delivered my children (his twin)! I drive the distance for comfort!

Looking at the reviews for this doctor drew us to this office, but my wife and I were very disappointed. The office didn't seem very kid friendly really dull and boring. I mean there wasn't even a fish tank. Every pediatricians office has a fish tank. Anyways we still tried to give it a shot even though the place looked run down and dirty. The nurses were very impersonal almost like robots and were kind of rude. The room where our daughter was examined was small and the examine bed was right underneath an AC vent. Not the biggest deal but no attention to detail for caring for the patients. Dr. Later was not a nice man. He tried to be funny but wasn't. He reminds me of an old man that should have retired from his profession years ago. I had some simple concerning questions about vaccines and his response was just unacceptable. He was condescending to me almost calling me an idiot for my concerns and was not very professional. My wife and I felt horrible from when we walked in to when we left. I would avoid this doctor and the office at all costs. If you care about your child you will drive the extra 10 to 20 miles to get a respectable good doctor.

Dr. Later and Sueann have been treating my four children for over 21 years, since the birth of my oldest, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. We have seen other doctors, but I have never felt that my kids were as well cared for as they are by Dr. Later and Sueann. I am a well informed mom and very picky about the Dr's we see, Dr. Later's office is the only one besides my dermatologist that I have stayed with for such a length of time. I trust them implicitly.

I have seen Doctor Later and Sue Ann, not only for myself as a child but now for my own children. They are great! Christy is amazing too and my son loves her. All three have only given quailty care! They truly care for your kids. They are easy to get an appointment, and answer the phone quickly, which is great! I highly recommended this doctors office to everyone.

Took my baby to the doctor for a well check yesterday and we saw Dr. Later. It was our first time seeing him, typically we visit Sue Ann who has been good, but we're not too attached and are still trying to find a doctor that we love. Well the whole visit Dr. Later was coughing, but blamed it on his allergies so I didn't think too much of it since allergies aren't contagious. Now today my baby is sick and has been coughing all night long. It makes me so angry thinking that a man who is supposed to be in the business of making children healthy lied about being sick, continued on with our appointment, and got my child sick too.

I can never see the doctor. He himself is very good. He is the best doctor I know of. But the only problem is his staff.

We have seen kristi forabout 7 years now. She is definatly a doctor eorth traveling for! If we we ever move we will travel to see her! She has been amazing! My children love her! She cares as much for the children as for the parents she has gone way out of her way to make sure that the hole family is good. She explains everything in a way that we can understand i will keep recomendimg her to everyone!:)
