List of Mark Rieker Md's Reviews
Dr. Mark Rieger is an amazing Dr. I have Syringomyelia and Scoliosis and Dr. Rieger treated me as a child. The waits were always extremely long but if it weren’t for him I would have been disabled by the time I was 19. If you want one of the best doctors to see your child, please see Dr. Rieger; ignore the wait times and deal with them, it may save your child’s life.
Very bad doctor! Dr rieger told me I had a stress fracture when there was no radiographic evidence for it. Completely ignored radiologist advice for further imaging. Furthermore, his notes are filled with typos and inconsistencies. For example, he typed in l4 instead of l5 which really is insane considering how much this guy gets paid. Speaking of that you’ll probably just waste of a bunch of money here and more importantly a bunch of time(you can probably finish a movie before dr rieger finally arrives to you). There was another time when he sent me to physical therapy and then months later told me physical therapy wasn’t even necessary. Terrible communication from the doctor and staff. It’s just a giant headache this place.
Dr Reiger is knowledgeable in scoliosis. However in the 3 years my daughter saw him for scoliosis, the appointments were 2-3 hours long to see the doctor for maybe 5-10 minutes. If you are 10 minutes late they need to reschedule. However they don’t value you or your child’s time at all. You’ll wait 45-60 minutes after your appointment time, only to then wait in an exam room for another hour until Dr Reiger shows up - and that’s on a good day. I’ve spoken to Dr Reiger about this couple of times and nothing ever improved. We won’t ever go back.
My wife took off work early to bring our two girls to see the dr. We showed up 10 minutes outside of their window and were told we had to reschedule. There were maybe 3 other people in the waiting room. We will find somewhere that has a little more understanding.
Dr. Rieger was recommended by our pediatrician and we are so happy and grateful he did. Dr. Rieger has been amazing from day 1. We very much appreciate his patience and sense of humor! Dr. Rieger is a dedicated, thoughtful, and compassionate doctor. Thank you for your tremendous skill in performing my son’s surgery. Your talent and caring manner is a blessing.
Dr. Reiger was recommend to us by Morristown Hospital. He is wonderful. He made my daughter laugh and feel comfortable. He was patient with my questions.
Average 1 hr wait in waiting room. Another 1 hr or more in exam room. Don’t expect to be out sooner than 3 hours. But office policy according to manager is he can’t see you if your more than 10 minutes late—happened once and refused a followup visit even after my son has been a scoliosis patient for 5 years. Office shdnt be overbooking or scheduling earlier surgery which may overlap with office visits.
I’d give zero stars if I could. I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Rieger under any circumstance. Rude, disrespectful, and punitive. His behavior toward patients is unethical and the world should know it.
Dr Reiger is amazing!! He is so kind and patient with the kids! Would highly recommend him and his staff!! Truly amazing people.
Dr. Reiger is the absolute best doctor ever. He gave me a better life to sum it up. I went to three doctors before him and he was the only one that told me he was able to take up my challenge. He is very thorough at every visit and tells the best jokes. Dr. R explained my surgery in a way that I could understand and all of the steps in my recovery, including the expectations of what I could and could not do. He also makes it very easy to ask any questions I might have. He is a very friendly guy and makes it his goal to get a laugh out of his patients. I get all my jokes from him. Best of all he fixed the two curves in my spine so I am straight now! Thank you Dr. Reiger!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
