A blessing came Gene's way! On a bright sunny day, sometime in about 2001, a family from Arizona came to visit. With them came a nephew Scott who is an Emergency Room doctor in Mesa. He noticed Gene having a difficult time with his breathing. He asked, “Uncle Gene, what is the trouble?" After a short response, Scott said, "We are going to the Emergency Room." After a wait time, Dr. Chun Hwang, the cardiologist on call, appeared. Not knowing anyone in the medical world, I asked, “Who is Dr. Hwang?”Dr. Hwang examined, diagnosed, and prescribed. We shortly made an appointment for a follow-up visit. We were impressed with his professional and kind personality as he connected with understanding and friendliness.Dr. Hwang has been attentive with heart paddles to restore a normal heart rhythm throughout the many years. Over time, he has also installed installed two pacemakers, as needed.Gene, at the age of 96 years, has been deeply grateful for the many years of care from Dr. Hwang. I, Gene's wife, also appreciate Dr. Hwang's appropriate consideration of me and my understanding of Gene's medical needs. Now that he is retiring, we will miss Dr. Hwang's warmth as well as what we have come to know as his excellent medical care. Worst experience ever. I had my third ablation from Dr. Hwang and I have been in a-fib for a month. I have tried to contact the office and speak to him no less than 11 times. It appears he refuses to speak to patients until their appointment. I have had one call back only to tell me he was unavailable. I have never had a worse experience with a medical professional.

Dr. Hwang is the very best in my experience. He has cared for my atrial fibrillation problem for over 20+ years. I have had 3 ablations, and recently had my 5th pacemaker implanted. I am convinced he has added many years to my life. I cannot think of any better description than to say "He is the very BEST."

Dr Hwang has been my cardiologist since 2004. I trust him completely and would never hesitate to recommend him to anyone I care about. We are so very fortunate to have him here in Utah Valley. I’m glad he’s younger than I am so I’ll never have to find another cardiologist!

Exceptional service, concern and easy to understand explanations.

I originally was treated by Dr. Hwang in 2008, in Los Angeles, CA. He performed a successful ablation, and alleviated my 3 years of suffering with an arrhythmia. Unfortunately, another arrhythmia emerged, and I want to him to once again perform another ablation, in Provo, UT. He is an exemplary example of a skillful and compassionate physician. He is the best at what he does, and I would happily go to see him wherever in the USA or world he might be. I unhesitatingly recommend him to any patient who needs a successful ablation.

Doctor Chun Hwang He has treated me for the past 6 years and thanks to him he has saved my life. If there’s any cardiologist I would recommend it’s this dr. he has truly put in his heart and soul to treat me. He is trustworthy and will always want the best for your health.
