Insensitive, he charges a fortune and is of no help. He is a neglectful doctor. I would recommend looking elsewhere for care.

I went to see Dr Ahmad after being told by 2 other endocrinologists, an ENT, and a primary care doctor I needed surgery. (One of these Utah County "Thyroid Clinics" injured my sister's thyroid in a similar surgery, so I was very skeptical.) I have benign thyroid/parathyroid tumors, and Dr Ahmad confirmed my research that surgery is not necessary in my case (low calcium levels, no kidney issues, etc.). If I choose surgery sometime in the future, he recommended I see specific specialists due to the complexity (not an ENT). I appreciate Dr Ahmad's thoroughness in reviewing my labs/tests and for responding to all my questions with good information. I appreciate his straightforward, logical approach to medicine.

I have never felt the need to leave a review for anything in my life but I just have to for this guy. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I'm a nurse, I am no specialist, but I do have some basic background for endocrine systems. I have also had thyroid problems in the past and have been diagnosed with hoshimotos. I had lab draws done before my visit (only a week before) just so I could give him a base line. He refused to listen or look at my labs. He was convinced I had hyperthyroidism because of my anxiety, but both hypo and hyperthyroidism can cause that. He completely ignored my increase in depression, decreased appetite, cold intolerance, severe brainfog and fatigue. (All classic signs of hypothyroidism) I tried to explain to him that my T3 levels were low a key indicator of hypothyroidism. He said he wanted to draw his own labs. I left crying out of frustration because he wouldn't listen to anything I said and treated me like an idiot. I saw someone else who was quick to say he agree with my thought process, we took a look at my antibody levels for hoshimotos and low and behold they were high. I was quickly prescribe medication to help with hypothyroidism.

I’m not one to leave poor reviews, but I’ve also never had such a bad experience with a doctor. From the first visit it was clear he didn’t care about me as a patient. I have papillary thyroid cancer and he recommended I do radioactive iodine. It’s not a simple process to get ready for. I had to stop nursing my baby, get child care for my older two children and prepare to isolate for a few days. The day I went in for the procedure I was told there was no information given to the hospital by Ahmad’s office so they couldn’t help me. I called to get it figured out and his office was so incredibly rude (except the receptionist at the time). When I did demand to talk with Ahmad he told me, “sorry, we can reschedule in a month or two”. Zero sympathy from him and his assistants lack of organization. I flew in my mother in law to watch my kids for nothing and was done nursing my baby all for nothing. I’ve had friends that he rubs wrong as well. Anyway, if you’re seeing Ahmad I would see someone else to get a second opinion because it turns out I’m not even close to needing radioactive iodine. I feel like he is not in the healthcare field to help others.

Horrible staff first off. Lazy beyond lazy doctor and staff. I overheard him yell and hit a wall because he was told something he didn't like. WHAT! Who does that? I want a confident doctor in all situations. Unprofessional. His MA is the worst. Does not communicate at all. His front staff swears in the presence of patients, eats her food at the front desk. Beyond gross. He pushes his options on you with the attitude of take or leave it. He says he is the best in the country for Radio-frequency ablation. I find that hard to believe. His office is drab and not inviting. The space is not inviting or welcoming. Most offices you wallk in make you feel at home. Not here, bare walls uncomfortable furniture you can't get out of. Please, please don't go here.

My initial feeling about the doctor was very good, I thought he might be the answer to help me solve my Thyroid issue, especially when he explained the RFA process. Today I literally did a google search to see if he had died. Its been months of calls and emails with zero response, in the mean time my thyroid issue continues to grow and worsen. My review corroborates the other poor reviews of him and his staff... Six months has gone by, they would not contact my insurance to get approval, they would not even schedule a date for my needed surgery. Find another doctor, do not waste months of your precious life with him. Words can hardly express my total disappointment and sadness for time I've wasted with him. BTW - The only positive review must have been from an employee. Please take heed and do not waste your time with him!

My otolaryngology surgeon raves about Dr. Ahmad from a medical perspective, said he’s one of the very best. I have been very happy with my visits to Dr. Ahmad, he treats me very well, answers all of my questions, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend!

You are supposed to have your thyroid levels checked every 4-6 weeks during pregnancy if you are on Levothyroxine. Dr. Ahmad told me I didn’t need to have it checked anymore after my thyroid levels were at a good place during my first trimester. Since then 2 OB’s have said that’s not right, you have to have thyroid levels checked every 4-6 weeks during pregnancy. Considering that there are very scary outcomes if your levels are off, I think this is a very big deal.

You are supposed to have your TSH level checked every 4-6 weeks during pregnancy. Dr. Ahmad said once my levels were under control in my first trimester we didn't need to check anymore. Since then I've had 2 different OB's say no it needs to be checked every 4-6 weeks. There can be very scary outcomes if your TSH is too high during pregnancy, so I think Dr. Ahmad's oversight here is a pretty big deal.

I saw Dr. Ahmad for about a year and had NUMEROUS issues. Not just with him but with his office staff. It took 50 phone calls over a two week period for someone to answer my call and confirm a life changing diagnosis. After multiples procedures and new medication, dr ahmad would not listen to my concerns about side effects from those medication. Symptoms and side effects i had never experienced and felt damaging to my body he ignored saying that they were just because of my weight ignoring every single one of my concerns. I have on a few occasions just gone to the office because no one would answer the phone. Most recently I found out that my regular appointment was cancelled and I was not informed. Any time i leave his office or communicate with his staff I am left frustrated and confused. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and rude health provider in my entire life. It is not worth the trouble, go see someone ANYONE else.
