William Barager's Online Review Report Card

Our dad is a patient of Dr Barager. He is on dialysis (as ordered by Barager) and was hospitalized recently. Barager came to see him and was in a rush to get in and out. We understand that Drs are busy and that didn’t bother us. What did was when he asked who my dads regular nephrologist was and we told him that he was, he said “no, he’s not my patient, I haven’t seen him.” We understand that he has many patients and would not expect him to remember them all but, to be so adamant as to know for sure he hadn’t seen him when he actually had was incredibly arrogant and dismissive. A response of “I’m sorry I don’t remember seeing him, I’ll have to check his records” would have been the human thing to do. It was obvious that he was not interested in answering questions. Our dads kidney function seems to be improving and we have many questions about that. Barager was so quick to be in and out there was no opportunity to even ask, so we still don’t understand what might be going on with his kidneys. We are actively looking for a new nephrologist. I would suggest you go with someone else in the first place.

Dr Barager is one of the best physicians I've ever had. He explains everything thoroughly and takes time to listen to what I have to say. I highly recommend him.

William Barager is the most difficult, disrespectful, bully I have ever talked too. He is extremely demanding, demeaning and careless. He pushes pills onto you, treats you like you a beneath him. The other negative reviews are all correct. Avoid this DO as much as possible. Please do yourself and your family members a favor and find another doctor. On all accounts, over the phone and in person me and my family members left in tears by his bullying antics. He is a terrible person and doctor.

If It were possible to give 0 stars I would. Doesn’t return calls from patients or the dialysis center. Put my father in the hospital twice due to his neglect. Absolutely no communication. Terrible.

Only two visits so far, BUT..I can see Dr Barager Is! my kind of doctor!!!To begin with, by being put on cancelation list, I got in for my appt 2 MONTHS early! (I was stressing prognosis 😳) I really can't think of one, single negative about my initial visit with Dr Barager. and his very kind and helpful staff.  I feel Dr. Baragers' methods work well with my general sensibilities, I need to be well informed . I like to be as cooperative and helpful in my care as I can . Dr Baragers methodology is a perfect fit for me!  I Appreciate greatly his process of figuring your issues out. He works his process right in front of you, INCLUDING you in all aspects. Dr Barager is the best kind of inclusive Doctor,for me, because I want to be fully informed of my issues and what I can do to help in the process of making me better. I REALLY like Dr Baragers personality, style and methods. I HAVE found my Nephrologist!!😁😎Thank you to Dr Barager and his awesomely sweet helpful staff

Dr Barager is the best. I have been struggling for many years with uncontrollable HBP and no one could figure it out. Other Drs added more and more meds, without success. When I got hooked up Dr Barager, he took the time to troubleshoot the issue and locate the underlying cause. Then we focused on that and I was able to get off all the unneeded meds and get my health back. He answers all my questions. He whiteboards and breaks down everything for me. He showed me in his medical books the exact diagnostic tree that we were following to find the answers. He will explain, in detail, any questions I have about how things work and why we are proceeding the way we are. I have learned a ton from him about my body, its processes, and medicines. I could not have found a better partner to work with on this. I am super grateful to have found Dr. Barager.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. Do not see dr barager. He did not review or prepare for our appointment with him AT ALL. He spent the whole time fumbling through notes from our previous doctor he didn’t read and asking questions that HE SHOULD KNOW THE ANSWERS TO. His bedside manner is the worst. And on top of everything, they messed up the billing. We payed at our visit and now they are sending us notices saying we have that owing on our account. I really wish we listened to the previous reviews on this place and chose somewhere else.

Giving 1 star is feeling generous after being a patient of his for the past year and a half. As stated in another review, save yourself time and find a different doctor. His bedside manner is terrible. He's often impatient and unprepared. His solutions or medical recommendations were always more and more pills and supplements. He never cared to address underlying problems or find a diagnosis. He is very narcissistic and does not listen to what the patient has to say.Dr. Barager deserves less than a 1 star rating and his staff is just as bad. His nurse Reece is very dismissive, rude and talks over you. She speaks out of turn and interrupts instead of listens.This Doctor and staff are truly awful.

Absolutely the worst "doctor" I have met in my life. He is incompetent, doesn't get anything done, has the worst bedside manner, doesn't spend any time with the patient and won't answer any questions. Please save yourself and your kidneys and find a different doctor!
