Sterling Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

So far unimpressed. Been here for an hour already. Sitting in a room. I think I have strep, so I decided to go to the closest Instacare near me. I called first, should have been my first hint. It went straight to a voice mail. When I call an office I want to speak to someone, not "record your message after the tone".After about 45 minute wait a woman come in took my blood pressure and temperature. 15 minutes later the guy comes in, doesn't even ask what is wrong, takes a look in my throat, says " yep looks sore ". He asked how long I'd been like this, I told him going on two weeks. Then he says we could put you on a steroid to see if that might help and a pearle, ie: benzonate for the cough. He asked i I had a COVID test? I said no do you provide them for free? No they're not free. I said when did they start charging for them? The hospital always gives them for free. He said then go to the hospital. There's a pharmacy also in this building so I had him fill those prescriptions for benzonate and prednisone. When I picked that prescription up the pharmacist suggested that I take vitamin D so I bought a bottle of that too. Went home took the drugs, only the sore throat went away. Still have the cough. So, after all that I am not impressed with their "people skill". The only friendly one was the gal that took my BP. I won't be returning.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the admin side of one of the Sterling Urgent Care sites. I recently came to America and had to visit the urgent care facility - such kind and friendly faces. I’m from a different country so I’ve been having issues receiving my invoice for payment and getting access to my medical notes. Since March 17th I have corresponded with the medical records team and they were looking into adding my home country address and phone number so I could receive my invoice and get access to medical notes for insurance purposes.

24 hour wait for a needed prescription that takes a real pharmacy 15 minutes. Capitalism shouldn't be in healthcare.

Unprofessional staff that doesn't know how to take co-pays. Schedule routine visit for sore throat and have to repeat several times you are not there for Covid and still be stuck IN A COVID ROOM. Ask to change room and told no the room is clean. Watch several other patients having issues with front desk/billing while there. Another patient having issues with medication as employee makes excuse why it isn't her mistake. Stay clear.

** They absolutely mislead patients on cost of service/ cost of a pt. visit, Logan office. ** Fortunately, I’ve never experience this prior or since. I had a simple straightforward patient visit, 10 mins.. After appt., paid the $ 140 (told this is what it would be total cost both in calling before appt. and asking again face to face before seeing the Dr.). They feel comfortable not disclosing that they’ll charge you another $ 170 and call it a “new patient” fee. I was meticulous in asking about fees and reading over paperwork ... exactly so this type of situation would not occur. Needless to say, I won’t receive any medical assistance from these people again. Patient(s) Beware !!

Run as fast as you can!! They should not be taking care of work injuries, period. They have no idea what they are doing. They just order MRIs. They promise to save employers money, so they hook up with them. Well, you get what you pay for. Do you think competent providers would work at a cut rate clinic? I had horrible care. You always get a nurse or PA who may or may not know what's going on. They randomly ordered an MRI on me, but workers comp wouldn't approve it because my case worker told me they didn't give a reason why I needed it. She said that happens all the time with Sterling. I guess if you don't know what you're doing, the answer is always to order an MRI. In the meantime, they will tell you to keep coming back every few days for no reason. More visits=more money. I know someone whose rotator cuff tear was completely missed. He had to suffer for weeks until he went to a real doctor. I wasted so much time and was in so much pain because Sterling is worthless. They tried to sell me some program too. Like I'd go back there. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere...like maybe your veterinarian.
