Dr a Lewis was definitely a life saver for my husband, David! My husband woke up on a Saturday morning about 3:00am, in horrible pain!!! I finally said at 6:00am, that he needed to go to the ER. After being admitted on a 24* hour hold, on the following day they had to perform emergency surgery and remove he’s Gallbladder! My husband hasn’t had the best luck with surgeries, so he was a lot apprehensive…. Dr Lewis calmed he’s fears, and went the extra mile to help David feel better about his surgery risks!!! After surgery on that late Sunday evening, Dr Lewis came out and indicated to me it was a very difficult procedure, and he had to actually open him up. (Dr Lewis you could tell he really had to work hard to remove David’s gallbladder! Dr Lewis collar was soaked in perspiration)!!! He gave me a hug, and indicated David would be feeling better soon!!! Dr Lewis is so personable, he definitely choose the correct field!!!!! We appreciate Dr Lewis sooo much!!!!

I’m sorry but we did not have a good experience surgical consult in ER and was moved immediately to a surgical room 1st floor without any confirmation that surgery was needed. My wife was out of pain after a couple of pain injections. Tests came back later that day proved bowel was not kinked and surgery was necessary . Instead of releasing her immediately . Was held another day costing us the Er and surgical room. Our out of pocket was close to $3500.00 . I guess that’s what a couple of tests and pain injections cost after insurance. Wrong

I am 68 years old woman with Lupus. I've seen many...many doctors over the years, but never have I had one who has impressed me like Dr. Lewis. He absolutely saved my life. His surgical talent is unmatched (in my humble opinion) He paid attention to ME. He went the extra mile, he worked WITH me in my healing...I feel better now than I had in ten years. If I ever left Utah and needed his expertise, I would return for his care. I have absolute confidence in him because of his knowledge and talent. I met him about 16 months ago when I had been told by an ER doctor that I was playing Russian Roulette with my life and needed surgery immediately. How lucky and blessed I am to have chosen Dr. Lewis.What a surprise and delight it has been to have a surgeon who got to know me. A frightened great-grandmother who loves life and wanted to make more memories with our family. With Dr. Lewis, I was not just a patient on an operating table...but a patient he connected to as a human.If you are fortunate enough to be one of his patients, you are in the best hands possible. I cannot express my gratitude enough...for him giving me back a life worth living.

Ge explained everything thoroughly after the operation which made me feel much better.

Dr. Lewis is awesome Performed my wifes double mastectomy. Care was great. Explained things thoroughly. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Dr Lewis is compassionate and caring as well as being highly skilled and intuitive in his surgical practice. I believe he saved my life on more than one occasion with my ongoing intestinal problems.

Went to a post op visit. Took 1.5 hours to see a student for a 3 min visit. Poor service.

I highly recommend Dr. Lewis to breast cancer patients. He performed a lumpectomy on me recently. I felt confident in his expertise from the initial visit on. I had hospital techs assure me that I had a great surgeon. Except for a clean small incision in front and the main incision under my arm I see no before and after surgery differences in my breast. He called me personally to give me the pathology report. Immediately after surgery I was never in pain just mild discomfort sleeping.

I cannot speak highly enough of this very knowledgeable and talented surgeon. He is direct giving needed information so I could make the best decisions. He is unique in that he listens. He actually listens carefully and encourages questions. As for my life....he committed a miracle When I came out of surgery there were the usual issues of having ones stomach muscles cut laterally. Yet I already began to feel better Almost a month later and I feel almost like a teenager again at 67
