Dr. Katz operated on me 12 years ago today and basically saved my life. When the chips are on the table you want the best.

I recently underwent surgery for chronic sinus infections. Dr. Katz is very down to business and very thorough with his explanations of what he will be doing. Yes I was a little squeamish about what he told me regarding my surgery and I did at one point tell him I did not need to hear more. I may have annoyed him. I usually stick with doctors that have a comforting bedside manner. He does not give off that vibe. I did get a definite feeling that I was under the care of an excellent surgeon who knows what he is doing and will only do the best job. I never once doubted that. His PA is wonderful. I will continue to go there because I get excellent care and they have both made me feel so much better.

Dr. Katz and the surgery staff were so friendly, answered all my questions and overall just great!!

Went in for consultation for my deviated septum. He said that I would need surgery but that my blood pressure was too high. I addressed my blood pressure and came back about 9 months later. He then said we could do surgery if I wanted but that there we no guarantees and that I had to make the decision. It was totally different than what I had originally been told by him; he was not very thorough and is condescending.

Dr. Katz is an outstanding physician and I would recommend him to anyone. This doctor is very competent in his practice. I can't imagine why anyone would have anything bad to say about him, honestly. Granted, things can happen and not go as planned but him and his staff work hard to make sure you have a great experience, even if the circumstances are difficult due to things like insurance. I felt assured that this doctor addressed all my issues and truly cared about me as a patient.

This place is a joke and I use to work for Intermountain that is why I choose to stick with them. The surgeon is probably great at what he does, I felt confident in the beginning but the day leading up to my surgery things fell apart. I was not in the OR systems and had to rush to have everything submitted leading to my surgery being scheduled for the following day. I was already nervous for surgery to find we had a snow storm and I needed to be at the hospitals by 7 am. I had no way in and the office doesn’t open tell 9 and the south OR didn’t open tell 8, so why I was shedualed for 7 is beyond me. I called to say I was late but only could reach the north end who said they would relay the message so instead i waited tell 9 to call the office directly. No one had any answers for me and said the MA would call me back. I spent three hours waiting to find out they are just rescheduling me for the 12th. I took a leave from work for this surgery and am supposed to be back the 18th. That would give me 6 days to recover and be back to work on top of a full week not cover because the Dr will only cover days after the surgery. One snarky assistant said I should be fine to go back to work after 6 days and I about lost it. Most people I talked to were very lovely for the most part but as a collective this has been the worst experience I have had in my ten years working and being a patient at Intermountain

I was surprised to see bad reviews on here. I had my tonsils out here and the dr and staff were fantastic. He listened to all my questions and was very compassionate. The staff was friendly and I had to call a few times with questions and to get a refill after my surgery and they always either answered or called me right back. I would highly recommend this ent

Great doctor! I had an overall amazing experience with him and his staff and they made sure I was taking care. I would recommend him to any one he needs to see an ENT doctor.
