List of David Petersen's Reviews
After two long years of struggling to find an eye doctor that had answers for us regarding my daughter's eyes, we found Doctor Petersen. He was the answer to our prayers. He was extremely knowledgeable, took as much time with us as we needed, and had answers for us at our first visit. He has the best bedside manner of any doctor we have been to. You can tell how much he cares for his patients. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone for their eye care.
Said they took our insurance. Pre-approved everything. Super average experience for a routine eye exam. When they sent me a bill and I called on it they just told me to call the insurance company and figure things out on my own. So I did. I honestly can't think of a single reason why anyone would choose this clinic or Dr. Petersen. His staff let him down.

We have been going there for approximately six years with three of my children and can't complain about anything. The office is old but doesn't seem the technology is out of date. We deal with amblyopia and strabismus and have been very happy with the progress my children have made. Also, after going to primary children's hospital for the same issues the comparison is 100% better in favor of Dr Peterson.
I had surgery on February 25, 2015, at the age of 71. Since the surgery to align my eyes plus cataract surgery, my vision is GREAT. I am thankful that the double vision problem was finally solved. With no need to wear glasses, I can see as well as I did when I was young. Thanks to Dr. David Petersen, my vision is WONDERFUL. My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner.
I won't take my daughter back. It was horrible from start to finish. They told me they hadn't received the paperwork my husband faxed in and made an issue over that. We waited 35 min before being seen and and then we're left in the room for another 20 minutes. The assistant came in, dilated my 21mo daughter then told us to go play for 30-40min and come back. They forgot to mention that it would be more than a 2.5hr appointment at that rate and by that point Dr. Peterson wasn't even in the office any more. We went back for the exam an hour later, thanks to Dr. Jeppson who made time to see her--after the aid said she'd most definitely need surgery--he told us they didn't need to see her back for 2 months. This Dr. was nice, but I will never go back. Called Primary Children's on the way home, at least they are worth the wait.
Dr. Petersen performed my strabismus surgery to correct my eye misalignment and double vision. The entire process from initial consultation to post-op care exceeded my expectations. Dr. Petersen is kind, patient, and very thorough in his explanations. He's an all-around nice guy. My surgery went very well. The pain was very manageable and I healed quickly. I have seen a huge improvement in my eye alignment. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Eye Care Associates, Dr. David Petersen, and his team.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
