Dr. Brockmeyer and his team are the best of the best. He is the only one in the country for complex Occiput and upper neck fusion / stabilization surgery. He has pioneered many of the surgical procedures / approaches. The staff was great all around and his NP Sid who is awesome runs the show... Super great caring team who are just awesome at interacting and helping the kiddos. No egos just genuine caring professionals who do a fantastic job! Very please with everything!

He was kind but not as informed as I expected, he said my son was fine no issue despite his list of symptoms. Went out of state for a second opinion and found the problem he missed. He seems to be a good dr in the things he knows but unwilling to learn more as he goes, if he doesn't know it or perform the treatment he won't suggest it to parents as alternative treatment it is his way or no way. It is OK for a dr to say they don't know or specialize in something and refer to other drs who do, this is not Brockmeyers style unfortunately and patients suffer for it.

God complex. Egotistical. Sloppy diagnostics relying on “gut feelings” and not clinical data. Alarmingly inaccurate gut feelings for a man in his position. Missed every issue my child had that needed intervention for years. Botched surgery when he finally operated. We left for another opinion and discovered the extent of his butch job. Horrifying. I wouldn’t trust him with my dog. Parents, beware.

He leaves the impression of being a jerk. Apathetic. Rude. Wouldn’t even look at my child’s imaging. Wish our doctor had sent us somewhere else.

He has a huge ego, is condescending to parents that have researched anything about their child's condition and in our case he was also wrong.

Went to go see him for Chairi Malformation. Negative comments in regard to my Neurologist told me get a second opinion. Commented on the MRI and how it was pointless.. Over all we left very angry.. I went for a second opinion for a neurosurgeon.. and realized that there are still good people in the world..

As an expat working at a US Embassy for our country, and living in a third world country I turned to Dr. Brockmeyer when my son was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his neck. He sat on the MRI for a week, sent a terse, unknowlegable response, and then destroyed the MRI rather than sending on to another doctor. He did not want to give a phone consultation or skype with my son at all. He was uncaring and unprofessional in his service to us.

I was entirely impressed with Dr. Brockmeyer. The only negative comment I have, is with his Scheduling/Clerical Support Nurse. It took her over 2.5 weeks to complete a form my child needed for post surgery school support.
