Justin Atherton is one of the best General Surgeons in Utah. I've had a few surgeries the last few years and his skill using Robotics in surgery were amazing. Had a major surgery and didn't have the pain I experienced in other similar surgery. Highly recommend. His nurse is awesome and makes you feel very comfortable.

Dr Atherton is a true and genuine Dr who really helped me feel like I mattered and was worth doing surgery on. I have 3 abdominal hernias which are in need of repair and because I am obese it has been difficult to find a physician who would help. I’m grateful that he showed patience and kindness.Also, Karen, she sets up your surgery appointments, does vitals and shows great concern and kindness. We have had difficulty getting all the prior surgery notes and she showed patience and understanding and made sure that I could have surgery this year as apposed to waiting till next year.So, if you’d like a Doctor who treats you like you matter and are worth his time, I highly recommend him and his staff. Thank you!

I have been a patient of Dr. Atherton for 2 years now. I had a Hiatal Hernia redo from my original one that was done 9 years ago and he was beyond amazing. Very friendly, patient and answered all questions that I had as well as my husband’s questions. I originally was referred to a different surgeon by my family doctor and he wanted to do a bunch of unnecessary tests that would have not been covered by my insurance. After reaching out to family and friends I was referred to him by a friend of mine that works at the hospital.My first appointment with him we scheduled my surgery after he reviewed all the results from the testing I had done and he was a little confused as to why I had to do a test that was unnecessary and only caused more issues with my hernia that needed to be taken care of besides the original plan for my surgery.I would and have recommended him to friends and family.

Dr. Atherton has literally saved my husbands life. We have a village of medical professionals working on my husbands case, but it was Atherton who went beyond the extra mile to dig deeper concurring to find what else could be going wrong. He’s an absolute AMAZING surgeon. He answers any questions you have for him. God bless medical Doctors who sincerely operate like Dr. Atherton. I love Dr. Atherton. He saved my life, literally. I was very sick with diverticulitis. After my surgery, he came everyday in the hospital to see me. I recommend him highly! He has a wonderful bedside manner and he's an excellent physician.
