I agree whole heartedly with the last review regarding the lunch hour. There is no need to have your entire staff unavailable for over an hour. I called to schedule a Covid Rapid test for my son and I was told to call back after lunch hour. Isn't getting a child tested to prevent the spread of a deadly disease more important? It would have taken less than 5 minutes to set that up. This lunch structure is not beneficial to the community they serve nor any parents who are also on lunch from work trying to take care of their children. Don't get me wrong, the staff need and deserve their time off but to leave your phone lines unattended or be unwilling to help someone is not acceptable. Stagger your lunch schedules!
All of the staff leaves around before 12 for lunch and will not answer calls till around 1:30 pray you child doesn't have any issues during this time. Your better off calling the hospital administrators and being transferred to a nurse in the ER. Also lunch hours are not listed anywhere online. If the staff reads this PLEASE ROTATE YOUR LUNCH SHIFTS. Its not hard every other business in salt lake does it and you have plenty of staff.
We have been taking our duaghter here since she was a newborn. We regularly see Dr DeLao and I can't not say enough good things about her. She is thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. The office is usually pretty good about getting our daughter in same day or after hours when unexpected things come up, however the wait times for sick child visits can be really long. My only other wish is that our regular doctor had slightly expanded hours. We have to end up taking pretty much the only appointment she has available which doesn't allow for much flexibility with parent schedules.
I called last week to get my daughter in because she was sick. Because she had a fever 🤒 they put me on hold and transfered me to the nurse. I again explained her symptoms the nurse than told me she was constipated and to take fiber. I was so discouraged because I have loved this office in the past. My daughter continued to get worse so we took her to instacare where she had a major bladder infection. I think this corona thing has them turning people away. I would have preferred to go where they know her best.
Overall, the staff is responsive and returns phones and inquiries quickly. There have been a few times I’ve had to call back and follow up bc I didn’t receive a timely call back. But the staff is great and always willing to resolve things when I do call back. The nursing staff always takes the time needed on the phone—something I find rare in the medical field.
the only place my kids have ever been (oldest 16) and never had an issue until this year. said I didn't pay one bill and we weren't welcome anymore. I was more than willing to pay this said bill. however, we still couldn't come back. now my severe autistic daughter will go without until I can find another one. being special needs, you don't just go to any doctor.
They are amazing with the kids
Dr. Sandvig is a kind doctor and takes very good care of my kids. She's helped with everything from well-child checks to a large burn to autism diagnoses.
My three boys have been coming to this office since birth. Dr. Jolma is amazing! All of the doctors and staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have always taken great care of my guys! I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Very nice place. Clean a people very professional. St. Mark's Hospital is a part of the MountainStar division of hospitals, a healthcare system including eight hospitals in Utah, as well as an integrated network of convenient outpatient centers. Within the MountainStar network, our hospital teams work closely with community- and hospital-based physicians to deliver patient care all along the Wasatch Front, including Salt Lake County, Weber County and Utah County. Together, we're creating a strong foundation for better serving our patients - now and in the future. Currently, our family includes six hospitals in Utah, two in Idaho and one in Alaska. Our network also includes a psychiatric healthcare facility and a growing number of outpatient centers and MountainStar Medical Group physician clinics - including several that are open late.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
