I would recommend Dr. West 100%. After years of pain in Idaho these Doctors were able to correctly diagnose and fix the problem with a same day surgery in less than 3 months. Deserves 10 stars in my book.

My husband went in for insert of the Boston Scientific back stimulator for pain he was having. This was back in January 2020. It was supposed to be a 45 minute outpatient surgery. He got paralyzed from the waist down. It’s been 30 months and nobody has done anything to help us. I reached out for help, Dr West called me back and offered help. To this date, nothing. Nothing from Boston scientific, I understand this is happened before with their stimulator. Beware!!! Don’t risk your life getting this back stimulator or having that surgery. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. It has forced us to pursue a lawsuit with an attorney. My husbands life is now a daily nightmare. Which he has to live every day. Not to mention the money it has cost us. We will be bankrupt by the time this is done. Nobody cares!

I for one as medical assistant I preferred to always send referrals to Dr. West’s office but unfortunately as in a personal matter with Dr. Stauffer I had a terrible experience! too much arrogance and he is very unempathetic to the pain of a patient. Very contradicting when he states the MRI shows no damage in the nerves but yet an EMG shows damage. Does not review his notes or results before speaking. So when I told him of the EMG he didn’t even know about it! He’s responds to cover up his error was well still good new there’s really nothing to do but he gave no other alternatives to at least help find out why I can’t go up the stairs can’t go up down the stairs can’t sleep on my side and have a hard time sleeping there was no care for trying to figure out a find out what is going on! I am completely disappointed with his care and his lack of empathy towards patient care. I also told him I had a big fall and fell on my hands and knees and told him that they are in more pain in addition to the pain I already had on my legs. He did not even offer to have an x-ray or an MRI even though I’ve already met my deductible and my out-of-pocket being that it’s the end of the month and the end of the year already of 2021. Like I said he is just he just likes lots of empathy and in his patient care ! Like I said Seems like he doesn’t even read the notes when he sends me back to pain management for spinal stimulator when initially his office had already done that and in his notes it says my insurance had denied it because it needs surgery so if there is no need for surgery now what are the other options he can do to help figure out my pain and the source of my pain and where it’s coming from I am completely distress by his lack of patient care.

Dr West and his staff are absolutely 💯 AMAZING!!! I recently had lower back surgery for severe pain and numbness in my leg. When I woke from the surgery, the pain in my leg was gone and there was no numbness!! I have since resumed normality in my life without the pain!!!! He is wonderful and I highly recommend him and his staff to anyone having back issues!!

Dr West and NP Robert Hurst performed a 2 level anterior/posterior L4-L5 and L5-S1 fusion in mid september. Dr West also had to revise the two previous L2-L3 and L3-L4 fusions as they had failed to fuse. Complicated long duration procedure done with exceptional skill. A special thank-you to PAULA on Dr Wests staff. She went above and beyond helping my wife and I get through this procedure. Dr West also did a C3-C4 and C4-C5 fusion on my wife in december of 2019. Excellent results. Would reccomend Dr West and his staff for any spine related treatment.

Fabulous outcome. 100% recovery. Be prepared with questions to ask him since he is a bit quiet.

Dr West is very professional and knowledgeable. I had numbness in my arms and problems blacking out. He performed acdf on my neck and my problems are gone! I highly reccomend Dr. West!

Dr. West is an exceptional surgeon. I had terrible leg pain in both legs, and numb hot feet all the time. I was in such terrible pain, that I wondered if I could survive another day. Dr. West's helpful, and kind staff got me in and took care of me asap. I have nothing but praises for this fine doctor and his office staff. I would refer anyone with back pain to Dr. West.
