List of Preston Wilson's Reviews
I don't know, I intially thought I might prefer to work with Dr. Hourgaurd, like my mother, but was assigned to Dr. Wilson and couldn't complain much because of how dire of a situation it was. I did once see him be a very good advocate for me about 4 or 5 years ago and came back. This is the Dr. that said to me cleaning up the corona virus germs is a lot of wiping; bleach wipes, alcohol wipes, that kind of thing I guess...wipe, wipe, wipe! I wanted to just kill all the germs with a $20 light bulb I found at a pharmacy that claimed to do the same thing, but have spent several hundred dollars now in alcohol and bleach wipes and I use the light bulb too.
Dr Wilson, and his staff are AMAZING!!! He is thorough, and patient. His staff are AWESOME as well! Susie, Natalie, and everyone there are always quick to call back, kind, and always willing to help! They have never made me feel rushed, they always go above and beyond to show how much they care! I never feel like just another "patient", they treat me like a good friend and I appreciate that! Thank you Susie, and friends!
I am from Illinois and needed a primary physician in Utah. After researching and reading reviews, I chose Dr. Wilson even though I live in Downtown Salt Lake and his office is West Jordan. I felt comfortable enough from the reviews about making the drive. I had not been to a physician in quite a while and was experiencing quite a few issues that I thought may have been related to the amount of vitamins and supplements I was taking. I brought the supplements with me and also made a list of the symptoms I was experiencing. I thought this was the best way to organize my thoughts and make sure I did not leave anything out that I wanted to ask about because I become nervous when visiting doctors. Instead of feeling prepared and collected, I felt a little judged and dismissed. He told me he thought the issues were related to my thyroid and said to hold off on diving too deep into how I was feeling until my bloodwork came back. I was told I would receive a call when the bloodwork did come back and we would go from there. I received the bloodwork in the mail the following week but never received a call. Feeling defeated and embarrassed from my in-office visit, I wasn't sure if I was even supposed to call to go over the paperwork I'd received so I just went on with every day life, feeling exactly the same, physically, as I did prior to my appointment. I'd resolved to just never see a doctor again, but I had to call the office today because I think my foot might be fractured. It doesn't seem like an emergency situation as I injured it 3 days ago and I just want it to be looked at to be sure. The list of treatments on the site says non-emergency broken bones or cuts, so I don't feel it was unusual for me to call, but I was dismissed again. The woman who answered my call said they could not do an x-ray in office so if I think I need an x-ray I need to go somewhere else. I don't know what I need, that's why I am calling my doctor's office. I need GUIDANCE. I don't generally leave online reviews because I work in communications and I feel they are unfair, but I'm not sure how else to communicate my experience. I could be naive about how hard you have to advocate for your own health and these experiences are normal, but I was expecting more.
I worked with some of these people years ago. I helped train one and knew many very well. They are professional and compassionate
I found Dr. Preston Wilson after a couple of bad experiences with other medical facilities. He is extremely personable and professional. I'm glad that I found a doctor that I trust and takes the time to listen to my needs. He's a great guy and I would definitely recommend seeing him if you are looking for a new doctor.
I worked in the medical field for 36 years and have experience working with some of the finest Doctors in Salt Lake County. Dr Wilson rates up with the best..
I've been seeing Dr. Preston Wilson for a few of years know. He's always been patient to listen and answer any questions I have. His appointments actually start on time which seems rare for a DR. Punctuality is important to me and he's always been great about it.
My entire family has been seeing Dr. Preston Wilson for more than 3 year’s since he's in Draper until now. He was knowledgeable and very professional. He explained my issue in terms I would understand and listened to everything I had to say. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction.# Additional I was done my three surgeries since last year and In the first week after the surgery, I still felt very uncomfortable and called the surgeon. They just told me to take more painkillers and take more rest. 2nd week later makes another complaint end up same answer they reply to me “takes painkillers and more rest” and I’m telling them I’ve been doing the same surgery two years ago and recover time is less than 3-4 day’s and they says some people have to take more time’s to recover. One month later, my symptoms getting worse, I'm contacting the surgeon again and states condition like he pronounced that my condition should be was infected, he prescribed me antibiotics without doing any tests. One week later on taking an antibiotics symptoms never get better and I don't think I can continue anymore. I got an appointment directly with Dr. Wilson. I’ve told him what symptoms after the surgery, I have and he directly performed several tests on me. Test result comes out I having a 2 different bacterial infection and need special antibiotics to kill the bacteria. My surgical Doctor just blows me out never listen what I say! I strongly recommend Dr. Wilson to everyone.
Dr Wilson is awesome. He actually listens, I never feel like he is rushing me or trying to get rid of me (no matter how many questions I ask), it never feels like he is prescribing things or running tests "just to run them," he is knowledgeable, and it feels like he genuinely cares. He is all the things you would want in a doctor. 5 stars.
If I could give him - I would. Wanted to cya so ordered all sorts of tests I didn't need. A real jerk.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
