I received a revised bill. The due date shown on the statement is October 4th. I tried to pay the balance on line but kept getting a zero balance owed Message. I called the number listed on the statement and tried to pay it over the phone. I was informed they could not take a payment from me because they sent it to collections. It's not due until the 4th of October and you sent it to collections? What is wrong with you people? If I had the option of giving 0 stars I would. I received a bill from them for $499.00. When I called to ask about this charge I was told that $488.00 of this was for the office visit and $11.00 was for the lab work. I don't understand why they charge so much for an office visit. Never in my life have I been charged $488.00 for an office visit. They said my test results were negative. My symptoms were not going away so I went to instacare at IHC for the exact same thing. IHC ran the same lab and the result was positive. My bill from IHC was $204.00, with the lab fee for the same test was $5.00. This difference in fees is mind boggling. When I first went to CareNow, I gave them my insurance card, which at the time I was under the impression I was covered, but my insurance had lapsed and I had no idea of that. So as far as CareNow was aware of, at the time of service I was covered. When I went to IHC I discovered I didn't have medical coverage. So my question is since CareNow thought I was covered at the time of service?and IHC knew I wasn't covered at the time of service, why did CareNow charge more than double When they thought I was covered, but IHC knowing I wasn't because I told them when I checked in charged me a much lower fee?
