Doctor Schmitz has been my PCP since 2020 and I can say, with no embellishment, he is the best family doctor I have have ever had in my 61 years of life. He is kind, attentive, friendly, a very good listener and a gentleman. I have never seen him in less than a great mood and is always full of energy. He and his very competent staff are second to none, they truly are fantastic. I saw Dr. Roane once when Dr. Schmitz was unavailable; she stepped in and helped me through some medical issues a few months back for which I am so very grateful. She, too, is a great listener, super-competent and very good at what she does. I would feel comfortable in her care anytime Dr. Schmitz should be unavailable or absent. Listen to me… these people are very good at what they do! If you’re looking for a clinic where they truly have you’re best interest in mind each and every day, then look no further, because you’ve just found it. Call them up and make an appointment. Honestly, you’ll be glad you did.

New to the area. I had a visit this week with Anne Roane, NP. Very pleased. She was knowledgeable, professional, and had a true interest in my medical concern. She thoroughly explained my lab results. I will have all medical records transferred to this practice. Highly recommend

I've had the pleasure of being a patient at Afton Family Medicine for the last two years. I can't say enough good things about this office and specifically Dr. Schmitz. He has always been responsive to has gone out of his way to provide the best care and advice. He's personally called to check on me after a serious illness. You will not find a more caring individual. I'm lucky to live nearby this wonderful office.

I went to this office for an initial visit / physical last month and it was a great experience overall. NP Anne Roane is professional, thorough, attentive, and a great listener. I was also able to have labs done at the office during my appointment - the RN was very friendly and professional, and my blood draw was quick and painless. The office is very clean and conveniently located. I'm really glad I chose this practice and would recommend them to anyone looking for a primary care provider in the area.
