What a nightmare! They scheduled me an appointment without checking my insurance. The provider was not approved by my insurance and now they keep sending me out of network bills. I called the front desk but they push me to billing and billing pushes me back to front desk. They keep saying the director will call me to resolve the issue but never calls. Please stay away unless you want to receive hundreds of bills.
The provide I saw (Elia Tessera) was lovely but front office was a nightmare. Scheduling and any follow up for prescriptions is a nightmare.
I've never in my life had a doctor so fundamentally miss the mark on my care by applying a one size fits all solution without taking my specific circumstances into account (how could they?..given the team determining my treatment is comprised almost entirely of people who have never met me). Decisions are being made about my healthcare based on an arbitrary limit on the number of treatments (i've spoken with the manufacturer and there is no data to back up columbia's policy). The doctor making these decisions does not know me and has not regularly met with me over my year and a half of treatment. Bcause of this, they do not understand how harmful their choices that severely affect my life are. He is literally recreating the scenario that gave me PTSD/depression and caused me to require treatment in the first place. He chose the DAY I am losing my job (that i have been speaking about for months with my PA that *actually* sees me and knows me in anticipation of the fact that it was going to negatively affect my health) to cut off my treatment. I feel absolutely betrayed and mistreated and wish i never came here in the first place. Also-- what sarah said below is true. The people you have contact with day to day are great, but they arent the decision makers regarding how the business is run OR your treatment.
I was a little worried when I read some reviews on here. I normally don’t bother writing reviews unless some place is really awful or really great. I’ve been to so many doctors throughout my life. I think this office has been great so far. Everyone has been really friendly and informative. The doctor listened to everything I had to say and gave recommendations on what would help me. The staff has been really helpful and good with communication via phone, text, and email. I recommend then if you’re looking for a new place for help!
Very disappointed. Set up an appointment with a therapist in Rockville office. Arrived at office to find out I was "out of scope" for that therapist and they would find an appropriate therapist for me. Subsequently received second appointment for same therapist. Was unable to get anyone at Rockville office to give me an explanation of what was going on. After several tries got rep on main number and discontinued engagement with them.
Their leadership team doesn't care about you, they care about making money. It's a shame because their actual clinicians are all very nice but it doesn't make up for the abhorrent mismanagement of their business operations.
I tired to call and make an appointment you guys are rude and quick to hang up. rude AF! I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
My provider was a no show for a virtual appointment a few months ago and I haven't been able to reschedule an appointment or get a refill on meds. My mental health has declined because of them. Go anywhere else. I've called dozens of time and have spoken to someone 3 of those times, who then say they're passing my request to someone else and should hear back at 4 or 5 pm which is conveniently when they close. Don't tell me to call and speak to someone - I have called plenty of times and never gotten anywhere.
Terrible experience. The diagnosis and treatment provided by professionals in this office drastically conflicted with the recommendations of other providers. Because of CAP's incorrect diagnosis and its failure to provide correct assessment and treatment, my health condition worsened. When I reached out to to the Columbia Associates in Psychiatry to correct my medical records and diagnosis, they didn't respond. Instead of solving the issue, they terminated the contract. I highly suggesting to avoid this places as they don't care of the quality of care provided at their center, and they don't take the responsibility of misdiagnosis and low quality of care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
