List of Abraham Cherrick's Reviews
I went to Dr.Cherrick's practice 3 years ago where I had back injections done with little success however with not a lot of pain management specialist that will take my insurance and still in pain I returned 2 years later(about a year ago). Dr. Cherrick was very unprofessional. He came into appointments late, most times anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour late, keep in mind, I was his first appointment for the day. If I was late for my appointment he would have charged me a fee and rescheduled me went onto the next patient-isn't my time as valuable as his? He very unprepared when provided with prior medical documentation requested such as xrays, MRI's or at the referrals that that were brought in. His use of fowl language and rushing to have me do his dictation so he could rush off to his next patient made me feel as there was sense of compassion or concern for my wellbeing. After explaining certain medical concerns and having him YELL at me that it was my fault that nothing could be done, is the reason I am writing this review. I am not one to usually write reviews for minor reasons however but given the treatment I have received over the past few years and compounded with I am not any further along than I was 3 years his practice several years opportunities to make things right and to still be in so much pain is not acceptable. Good luck for those who choose to go to him as I hope your experience will be better than mine was.
I saw Dr. Cherrick for 6 months after a traumatic back injury. I had 3 epidural injections and was on a low dose pain medication regimen. Due to a digestive disease and new back issues I ran out of my medication earlybut informed the dr every step of the way. He decided to stop prescribing me pain medication after 6 months. Refused to explain why. Avoided any verbal communication. There is something wrong with this Dr. He is not in his right mind. Has violated his Hippocratic oath. When I told him I was in so much pain that death was preferable he didn’t even tell me to go to the ER. His emails are misspelled and make no sense half the time. When I met him he was kind and wanted to help. Please stay away from this dr he does not care about your pain. I did not violate my contract in any way. He knows the agony I’m in. I think he is on drugs or mentally ill. Please do not put your quality of life in this mans hands. You will end up with none.
Nice at the beginning but then gets crazy out of nowhere. Really odd behavior for a doctor.
One of the absolute worst doctors Ive ever been to and that is saying something. He rushes through every appointment doesnt take the time to read his patients medical records beforehand and thus shows up unprepared to every appointment. He shows up an hour late to every appointment and then makes up the time by rushing through them and then has the audacity to question his patients intelligence when they dont agree with his rushed treatment plan. His treatment plan was to double the dosage of medication I was on that I already told him was entirely ineffective and had debilitating side effects. He then proceeded to ask me if Im college educated which I am and why I think I have the right to question his treatment plan. Oh and every time I would tell him about a side effect he would simply say nope not possible never heard of that before. How on earth does a doctor think they have the right to tell a patient what side effects they encounter? Hes also extremely unprofessional in the way he answers emails. I asked him if I should increase my medication dosage and he replied yep. Care to elaborate by how much? Please avoid this doctor at all costs. His practice is an absolute mess and it takes weeks to even get a follow up because hes so overbooked with new patients when he cant even care for existing ones. He is everything thats wrong with the medical profession and should have his licensed revoked. Please trust the multitude of negative reviews and avoid him at all costs.
I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could give this doctor or practice five stars. First off he’s atleast an hour late to every appointment. Complete disrespect for his patients’ time and schedules. Second of all he clearly has way too many patients in that he can’t manage to do his job properly anymore as a result. He didn’t review any of the medical notes he asked me to send before our appointment thus wasting all of our time going over the same information as the previous appointment. How hard is it to take a few minutes to review your patients’ notes and charts. He then completely ignored what I said and began to lecture me about how difficult it is to treat me when I turn down all of his suggestions. I turned them down because I had already tried them and none of them worked which he would’ve known if he read my chart ahead of time. The best he could do is up my dose on a medication I already told him didn’t help my pain and caused massive side effects. Yet another Useless doctor who clearly has way too many patients on his hands and thus can’t do his job properly. He’s also very Unprofessional in the way he answers emails.
Overly rushed uncommunicative...too long to wait for minimal service and care
Dr. Abraham Cherrick’s office is a disaster Avoid this incompetent and uncaring medical professional
I am giving 1 star because there is no other way to write a review with zero stars. I had 2 visits with this gentleman Dr Cherrick. On the first visit I waited one hour to be seen. Somehow I let that go because he sent a bunch of tests to find out what is wrong with my back. He asked me to give him a chance. Today on my second visit supposedly a follow up from the first one of course I waited more than an hour to be seen and he he finally decided to show up he asked me “what could he do for me?” Seriously? “Did you even check the results of my tests? He spend 5 minutes telling me basically nothing. He left the room and went away. I heard him laughing and talking about Phill Collins and playing music and laughing more on next door while I continue waiting for him. He came back for another minute and said he was giving me a refill on a medication I told him it was no longer working. He did nothing but fool me around. I left that place in much more pain and frustrated. He is the WORST doctor to choose to treat your pain and I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Dr. Cherrick is a genius He guessed my neck problem within 5 minutes and was confirmed later by MRI and xray. He really knows his stuff I have been dealing with a chronic pain issue for 8 months and he finally has me on the road to recovery with the proper treatment. While I understand that his office is VERY busy I do feel that his front office staff could be a little more personable and a little less blunt.
What a difference Dr. Cherrick makes I was very nervous about coming to the doctor for my pain and now I am so very happy I did see him. He was kind compassionate empathetic and he took his time to make sure that I was comfortable with his recommendations. I did have a bit of a wait while in the back but I feel that his care was worth the wait. Dr. Cherrick is a wonderful doctor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
