I saw Dr. Adawi in spring 2019 after a chest X-ray and CT scan revealed the presence of cancer throughout my chest and bones. I had not been given the results of the CT scan yet but I was fairly sure it was cancer (in 2012 I had began treatment for breast cancer that had not spread). I mistakenly saw Dr. Adawi instead of my oncologist because I was told by another doctor to see a pulmonologist. I was very weak and uncomfortable and short of breath due to a large pleural effusion. I was also extremely scared. I brought a close friend who is a nurse to my two appointments. It wasn’t until I asked him repeatedly that he told me what was happening, and that was during the second and last appointment. He said he “blamed” me for the disease and criticized me for having tears in my eyes when he walked back into the room when I was talking with my friend. He helped make a sad situation even worse than it was. I can’t recommend this doctor.

Horrible doctor. Left me sick and with exacerbated asthma following a CT scan showing serious inflammation and bronchitis. I'm the one who suggested the x-ray, not him, he was more focused on telling me it was anxiety and knocking on my head, and telling it was my posture causing my shortness of breath. Seems perfectly OK to me. He treated my sleep apnea and sinus allergies well. I got no problems with him at all.

Dr. Adawi has some serious communication issues. He is very hard to understand with his accent and the way he tries to explain things. He does not give answers but responds in hypothetical situations. It's completely bizarre. There is a lot of miscommunication as well as things lost in translation. I saw Dr. Adawi twice and did a sleep study. From what I understood from him, my sleep study results were "normal" and there is nothing wrong with my sleep. His staff is also incompetent

Dr. Adawi takes a little getting used to for his mannerisms in discussion - can be a little quick - but past that, you'll find a very caring, pragmatic, and capable physician. He knows his area of specialization and I'm very confident in his ability to diagnose and suggest patient-tailored treatments.
