Alice A Joseph Md's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of Dr. Joseph for eight or nine years until recently when I retired and moved. I always found her to be knowledgeable, friendly, thorough and professional. I hope I can find a new doctor half as good as she was.

I have been one of her patients for years many years. I would say the experience has always been mediocre at best. It always seems clear they want you in and out without always satisfying my questions which annoyed me when I commuted an hour for the appointment just to be seen for maybe 5 minutes. The staff is also usually not very helpful and oftentimes has an attitude. I have once left numerous messages for the doctor and not received a call back. I am changing doctors.

The doctor lacks care and rarely follows up on blood results. She has a poor bedside manner and not very informative when you do have questions regarding your health.

Dr. Joseph has been my primary care physician for several years. She manages my multiple medical problems well. She works with me as an individual and makes me feel that we are partners helping me maintain good health. Her bedside manner is warm and caring. I have largely been able to avoid using Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care because she is usually available to see me on short notice when needed. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Joseph to anyone who wants a quality physician. Especially if they want one who will take the time them personally instead of being passed impersonally from one physician to another a large group practice.

I was Dr. Joseph's patient for many years before moving from Virginia. Due to my high cholesterol levels, I saw her several times a year to monitor that level and associated health risks. During that time, I got to know her and her staff and couldn't have been happier with the office. I never experienced long waits. Dr. Joseph

Dr. Joseph has been professional, knowledgeable and caring. She listens to my concerns and answers my questions. I find her staff helpful and friendly. I like that if I have to be admitted to the hospital I know that she will continue to supervise my care in the hospital instead of turning my inpatient care over to a hospitalist.

I can't believe she still practices medicine. she is the worst doctor that I ever went to. she is absolutely terrible in her bedside manner, rude to her patients and staff. she refused to write me a referral and I was wasting her time by coming to her office and told me to find another doctor. she belittles everyone around her including her staff. she thinks she is above the law and treats patients with absolute hatred. she does not even addressed me by my name called me " hey lady, you Americans are fat and dumb. This is why you guys get high blood pressure and diabetes. you guys need to get your behind off the couch and get to work". so please do me a favor, save yourself and don't go to her.

Her stuff changes constantly and theyalways have to lie to cover up for her delays. she rushes through the appointment, ask very few questions, her equipment is from the 50s! She hates writing REFERRALS!! The last time I saw i came to pick up a referral that she took for ever to make and she yelled at me for a half hour saying it was my fault that she had to pay people to write referrals and now the insurances wants "electronic" referrals and it's because of patient like me!!! Her stuff was soo embarrassed by her attitude. She finally scream "go find yourself another doctor!". I responded that both my husband and I will be delighted to do so. She is the ABSOLUTE WORST!

Not interested in hearing about your symptoms, barely examines you, everything is "nothing to worry about" from chest pains to kidney problems. Negligent, unknowledgeable and uncaring. Keeps you waiting for an average of 45 minutes but when you finally get in she sees you in 5/10 minutes.
