Worst place to go, no one ever charges for blood test! And my parents who are above 60 , made an appointment for a regular blood test and the reassured him is free and he has Medicare! When my parents went for the appointment they said it maybe 100/150 dollars! They are always harrasing people. Dr. Gupta and the staff are the ABSOLUTE worst!!! They only care about money and how to cheat please! Please whoever is seeing this, do not go to him!
Not friendly at all. Alway have to wait a long time even having made appointments. This is not an urgent care center. However, they charge you urgent care center rates because I did visit this office enough times. The lady at the registration states I am being changed urgent care center rate because I only visited them 3 time in 1.5 years. I have health care insurance to get treatment when I get sick. Why would anyone visit a doctor’s office if they not sick
They advertise as being an urgent care center, but when I went in looking for help, I was told I couldn't be seen because they were only doing COVID vaccinations. If you're going to turn away urgent patients, don't advertise that you offer those services at all.
I would say that much of the staff don't do their job. I have to call the office again and again to get them just to refill my meds. Once I called them five days, in a row, in order just to get them to do their job. Demanding to talk to a doctor seems to be the only thing to get the staff on the phone to do anything. I don't think they update any of the information on their computers. And for the doctors, or practicing physicians, only a few even smile. Most make you feel like you are taking up their time and, many of them, seem to have a frown on their face all the time. And if I didn't bring a list of my meds they won't have a clue what I take. They don't seem to update their own records and even refill the wrong meds from time to time. See above. I would say three out of every four visits to this office is stressful and a waste of my time. I get called in to talk to a doctor about something they could have told me over the phone. Many times the doctors suggest a med that my insurance won't cover and I can't afford. Sometimes the SAME medicine will be suggested again and again even after they have been told it is too costly. I have been going here for decades and can only say my physical health has become slightly better. Ironically, I can't afford health coverage anymore and will have to cancel it. That at least means I will not be dealing with this office anymore. To be honest it will likely balance out. True, I will have to be more careful about my physical health but I believe my mental health will improve.
My very elderly father has been seeing Gupta for over 20 years. I have tried to persuade him to change physicians but at 98, he doesn't want to. He has severe knee pain and Gupta was more concerned about being flagged as prescribing opioids than helping a patient. He also misdiagnosed post-stroke epilepsy as restless leg syndrome brushed it off. I have called them for 7 days to get documentation to take him to a pain clinic with no response. The person who answers the phone is rude and hangs up. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR-he would rather make money than actually treat anyone
Absolutely Fantastic Doctor. He does take care of his patients very well
It so sad to see such a wonderful practice going to the drain, I have known Dr Gupta over 39 years now you don’t get to see him a lot. How ever they are very forgetful, when you make appointments Dr A when you get their you might see Dr B .Frond desk stuff is alway saying they are busy . Please try to improve .
Provided fraudulent services and threatened collections on me when I refused to pay for something I never agreed to. I signed up for a COVID test on their website and at the office they called when it was my turn. I'm brought to a room where someone administers the test. A couple weeks later I'm informed that I owe them $102 for a "telemed" session (I went in person??) because I was seen by a professional. I told them I never signed up for this, was never informed that this is a formal doctors office visit, was never given an opportunity to decline, and was instead charged for a service I never agreed to. All I agreed to was a COVID test. The lady told me it's too late because the service had been provided and that they will be handing my file to collections since I was refusing to pay, then promptly hung up on me. Ridiculous. On hold with CIGNA as I type this to dispute this nonsense. Edit: CIGNA rep informed me that this office submitted the claim incorrectly and did not follow guidelines. As a result they will be adjusting the claim on their end without further consultation. Given how rude the Alexandria Health Care Center lady was on the phone, I'm having a hard time believing this to be an honest mistake. I wonder how many elderly folk and those with English as a second language they've managed to defraud? What a joke.
Horrible physician with no concern I bought this patient’s well-being. More concerned about prescribing opioids 198 or a man in severe pain because he doesn’t want to put his neck on the line. The staff is rude, they do not return phone calls despite making three appointments. Does not take the time to make the effort to diagnose a patient’s condition, simply because They are very elderly. Run, don’t walk away from this practice
I made an appt online. I received an email the day of the appointment: Please call, more info needed. The office said they never heard of me, were not aware of the appointment, did not have immediate access to the pages of forms I laboriously completed on line, and the office location of the appointment is closed. After they could not honor the appointment I decided to seek a cardiologist with a better organized office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
