Best experience at a physician’s office ever. Dr. Ryan is incredibly patient and thorough in his explanation. My wife and I both visited with him, and we agreed that we had yet to work with a better doctor, and that’s with having physicians in our family lol. Highly highly recommend him! And we hope that he doesn’t retire any time soon, as we have just moved to the area and hope to stay here for 10-15 years.

Dr. Ryan saw me in person right before pandemic-related lockdowns went into effect in 2020. I went to him because he was local and had a long history of treating shoulder-related injuries. He dismissed what I had to say about persistent shoulder pain from an injury a number of years ago. He refused to prescribe me anti-inflammatories despite chronic inflammation and at length talked about his own complicated health issues and insisted I go on low-dose antidepressants—even though it was iffy as to whether I needed them according to the mental-health screening—as if to suggest my pain is all in my head. He also said he'd put me in touch with a local therapist and never did, despite repeated follow-up phone calls during the pandemic. I felt dismissed and disbelieved. I later asked a different doctor to help me schedule an MRI, which shows bursitis in my shoulder—something that shouldn't have persisted had I received better treatment from Dr. Ryan.

My wife and I just moved to the area from out of state and after each of our appointments we both agreed that Dr. Ryan is the best doctor that we’ve ever had. He was extremely thorough and made me feel heard. I felt as though he was speaking to me and not at me like most doctors I have previously been a patient of. We are 100% glad we chose VHC and Dr. Ryan.

Dr Ryan is always compassionate and knowledgeable and can help the patient and their family cope with any condition or diagnosis . Dr Ryan is absolutely the best doctor I have ever known. He is helpful with suggestions and advice and and referrals ! I would recommend him to anyone !
