I could not schedule a visit with this doctor 2 years ago 2019, office staff saying not accepting new patients, as of today 2021 they still do not offer a visit although the Website says “accepting new patients “

Dr. Reines is currently treating me at Alexandria hospital where I was admitted with acute appendicitis. I have had CDIFF previously and he was consulted to come up with an antibiotic plan that would treat the infection but also hopefully prevent a recurrence. He knows what he's doing and I trust him 100%. There is no guarantee that I won't contract CDIFF again but I can honestly say Dr. Reines is doing everything he can to prevent that from happening. Very knowledgeable and a great bedside manner. Really can't say enough kind things about him.

I saw Dr. Reines recently when I was in ICU for several days due to a digestive problem. He was very patient and put me at ease while talking with me about my condition. He has a wonderful sense of humor and did not appear rushed at all.

My experience being treated by Dr. Reines was horrendous! He is NOT knowledgeable about complex medical conditions and has a ridiculous ego, which is a dangerous combination in any doctor. Dr. Reines' bedside manner was TERRIBLE!!! He made insensitive remarks about scars on my body from an accident years ago (unrelated to the reason I was seeing him). l left his office feeling stunned that a doctor, of all people, would have such a clear lack of empathy. His comments about my scars were not only rude, but completely unprofessional!DO NOT trust this man with your medical care!!!

Felt very rushed and not listened to. If you are suffering from a condition that has frustrated you for a long time, you need someone with good bedside manners and understanding of patients' needs. This is not the guy, for those who want the doctor to actually get to know them and answer questions with more than one sentence.

Great demeanor with patients. Puts you at ease. Not a lecturer or critical of choice patients may have made in their own lives. He is there to help and treat. Great person and my condition has been well managed since I was referred after my last specialist stopped seeing patients outside of the hospital setting.
