List of Jeffrey Coster's Reviews
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Coster and Alexandria Podiatry Associates. Dr. Coster is an expert physician with extraordinary bedside manner; he reviewed my x-rays, recognized the “foreign object” (a sewing needle!) needed to be removed ASAP, and added me to his surgery schedule the very next day! Morgan, his office manager, jumped through hoops to make the arrangements and patiently answered all my questions. Prior to surgery, Dr. Coster met with me for at least 15-20 min providing an overview of the surgery and post-op experience which afforded me the gift of confidence and assuredness in achieving a favorable outcome. It is abundantly clear that Dr. Coster deeply cares about his patients and loves what he does. Dr. Coster is a world class provider and I highly recommend him for your foot or ankle care needs.
He is the best. He is very knowledgeable about his practice and takes the time to listen and help. Staff is awesome also.
Because I was not insured he didn’t tell me the truth that my tibia malunited and started healing wrong . He sent me with a boot and after 3+ years I am still on crutches and my tibia is hurting every time I try to stand without help . If he intentionally did it he will experience this for sure one day. Hiding patients condition from them is a moral crime . It can get you bed ridden one day for you didn’t care for a young life who probably despite being uninsured could pay for treatment but now it’s just not being taken care of by anybody all because of your negligence. Inova practitioners are simply crooked and immoral
It was delightful interaction with such knowledgeable and positive Dr
He listens, follows advances in related medical advances and above all makes sure the patient understands what he is saying
There are not enough stars. I HATE doctors and needles even more. It is extremely stressful for me. Dr. Coster's friendly and calming personality eases my tension. He's always willing to give me the time to answer any question. I never feel like it's a rushed appointment.

I saw Dr. Coster because of plantar fasciitis symptoms. His remedy was to have foot tapings done by his office and to take 1600 mg of ibuprofen daily for three weeks. When I asked if there were other treatment options we could explore before taking all that medication he replied "not if you want to get better." He also sold me $80 shoe inserts, which the office billing person said my insurance would not pay for. When I told her my insurance did cover prescribed medical equipment at 100%, she said no it definitely would not pay for the inserts and requested the $80, which I paid. (the same inserts are on Amazon for $47.)Not wanting to heavily medicate before exploring options, I found many examples on the internet of people having cured their plantar fasciitis by rolling golf balls or frozen water bottles below their feet. Coster never mentioned this (or anything other than medication, additional foot tapings by his office and inserts sold by his office) as treatment options, but I immediately started doing it, without medicating, and within a month my plantar fasciitis was completely gone.My insurance then did immediately pay Coster's office the full amount for the inserts, so I assumed his office would issue a refund for my $80 overpayment. After three months that had not happened, so I called their billing office to inquire why I had not been refunded and if they were planning on just keeping my $80 double payment, and was told "oh I'm glad you called because we don't really have a way of knowing that this had been paid twice." ??
For nearly six months, I was experiencing frequent swelling of my right foot along with severe pain. Three times the diagnosis was infection. Then I visited Dr. Coster, who found that a small bone fragment had broken off. He scheduled me for outpatient surgery, which was completed in 15 minutes with virtually no pain and a very quick reccovery. It was a great experience by a very competent and caring doctor and a great staff. His entire practice is so well managed, efficient and professional.
I can walk and run again!!! I thought I bruised myself my foot and hate coming to the doc. I had seen Dr. Coster back in Nov which went fine and his recommendation actually improved my 1st problem. Then a 2nd problem started, I was nervous at the solution. He had to give my foot injection which last time this happened w/ dif doc I screamed like I was giving birth! He reassured me multiple times, his asst called to reassure me all was well. I came in nervous, but he talked me through it, gave me the injection and talked me off the ledge. He was great at helping me through my whack phobia of shots in the foot. I felt better almost instantly. Im so grateful I found him!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
