List of Mark Schefkind Md's Reviews
The front desk staff was courteous and cheerful in greeting me as a new patient. I believe it was Amy. Dr. Schefkind listened to my questions and answered them without making me feel like he was rushed.
My visits with Dr. Schefkind have always been very comfortable. I feel he answers my questions and listens to my concerns - and I fully trust in his guidance. I am very glad I chose him as my eye doctor.
Dr. Shefkind has been my eye doctor for many years and has consistently guided me in the right direction when I had problems. Not too much, not to little. Just the right approach to solving the problem. He has a great office staff as well which speaks to the kind of person he is.
Dr. Schefkin has been my ophthalmologist for years. As a retired nurse I trust his judgment and wouldn’t even consider going to anyone else for my eye care and upcoming cataract surgery
I have been a patient of Dr. Schefkind for many years and am also a retired nurse. I would highly recommend him for eye care and surgery. His staff is wonderful and he is very attentive to questions and concerns and I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful doctor
I was bamboozled! I was a new patient that came in for a general eye exam. I had a referral that requires me to pay a $40 copay. I was given what I "THOUGHT" was standard new patient forms. When I went to pay there was an additional $60 "refraction charge." I was told by the front desk that I accepted the charge in one of the documents in the new patient forms. I take responsibility for not reading the "small print" however, if a patient is going to be charged more than their copay or the agreed upon cost, the office staff should articulate that to the patient prior to providing the service. It should not be buried in the small print of forms that patient’s try to complete quickly. I am not the first person to miss this. Maybe they want people to miss it to get the extra $60. It is such an underhanded business practice. Note to self, always remember to read the small print even at the eye doctor.
My eye care specialist for over 25 yrs... Dr is knowledgeable, personable;e and his staff is professional. Never a long wait
The absolute best!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Schefkind, Dr Draskovik, and all the support staff at the practice. They demonstrated professionalism, competence, the ability to communicate effectively, were incredibly helpful and flexible in their approach throughout my consultations, procedures and follow up appointments.
Professional, competent, and courteous practice staff ensure all phases of the procedure are made as easy as possible

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
