List of Peter G Bernad Md's Reviews
Dr. Bernad and his staff are the best! He was very thorough and caring. The Alexandria office is very well ran. I am thankful there are still good old fashioned doctors like him out there.
Like at EVERY appointment anywhere, there was a wait to see the doctor. That is because he is thorough and listens. Staff is very professional. The minimal time waiting was more than compensated by his caring and professional bedside manner.
Cared for my dad back in 2014-2016. Cares for my mom now and is wonderful. Thoughtful, thorough exams and treatment.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. I suffer from a neurological condition that brings on horrible headaches. I called Dr. Bernad’s Woodbridge office and explained I needed an order for a head CT as I am in debilitating pain. Well I guess this is not urgent because I haven’t gotten a call nor an order and since the ladies upfront have ZERO clinical knowledge they can’t determine what’s urgent and what’s not. However this is the same practice that has so much energy to call you stalker style when they want to squeeze everything out of your Carefirst with BS testing. This is EXACTLY why I get most of my care done in Atlanta, Virginia doctors are on some shady business. If I could give ZERO stars I would. They are so unprofessional and they make their patients wait a whole hour before they get seen. I would not recommend going to this doctor or doctors office, And the customer service is really trash. I’ve been going there since I was 15 years old and as I got older I started to realize that the office had bad service I will be going somewhere else. Had 3 Appointments, 1st appointment I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes before someone told me that Dr. Bernad was out of town( NO phone call to let me know ahead of time). 2nd appointment sat again in the waiting room 1 hour before being called back. The last appointment sat in the waiting room for 1 hour again just to have someone who came in after me only waited less than 5 minutes. I canceled that appointment and walked out. The office staff was like no BIG deal, and the staff went back talking about personal things.
Mr. Bernard runs his office like the lodge. You will get the best care and professionalism only if you are in his circle. But do not worry. He will apologize all day to you to continue to build his service on a three-star. His contractors are without morals or ethics. (Look out for Paul the Tec) he is not to be trusted. He will not allow anyone in the room since he is up to no good deeds.
Had an appointment at 10am to establish care/refill prescription as changing neurologists. Arrived on time. Two other patients in waiting room. Was treated very respectfully by front desk. Got taken back to room around 10:30ish. At 12MD, the doctor is chatting in the corridor with someone about WWII and parachuting behind enemy lines like he’s having a conversation and a stroll in the park. Meanwhile, I’ve been waiting TWO HOURS already for my appointment!!! As I ask for a refund of my $40 copay, I hear him say that he’s going to see the next patient, and it’s still not even me!!
Every bad review you see is true. I took my mom to see this doctor and we waited 2 hours to see him, we were inside the office for another 2 hours just so he could talk about himself and ask irrelevant questions. We spent most of the time with his clinical student, she was very attentive and polite, however the doctor didn’t even answer my mom’s questions. When she asked him what could be causing her headaches, he simply said “I don’t know”. I find it very unprofessional for the doctor to ask me personal questions when the appointment was made for my mother and not me. Also, the office equipment is outdated and they overbook people. We spent maybe 5 min with the doctor (like i said we spent the remaining time with the clinical student) he later came in to tell us there’s another patient that needs to use the room and kicked us out. Horrible staff! They’re all unprofessional including Dr. Bernad. They lost my test results that I payed for, and the Dr avoided speaking to me. Either that or his staff is horrible at passing along a message to call me back after 3 times of calling. I’ll be seeking legal advice to see what can be done for the money I spent on the tests I paid for. - Luisa Gallego Horrible staff! They’re all unprofessional including Dr. Bernad. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
