Ramsey Andrew Falconer's Online Review Report Card

My mom has been battling Parkinson's for 6 years, totally through the help of a local neurologist. After learning of her worsening symptoms, and inadequate care locally, I researched movement disorder specialists and found Dr Falconer's information. I emailed Dr. Falconer's assistant -- Sonia -- who got back to me within 20 minutes (!!!) and coordinated an appointment.During our first appointment, he was able to recognize that there was another serious issue at play (cervical stenosis) that required surgery and was complicating matters. He is incredibly knowledgable on the latest PD research/drug development, and is the most responsive doctor I've come across. I cannot overstate the importance of having a doctor that is open and willing to communicate frequently.We're continuing to meet regularly to fine-tune medications and find solutions for some of the more unsettling symptoms (eg hallucinations). Parkinson's can be a scary and unfair disease -- but research is advancing at a rapid pace and is a reason to stay optimistic. In my opinion, it is imperative that you reach out to a specialist like Dr. Falconer to ensure you're getting best-in-class care. Beyond grateful for him -- and for Sonia.

Extremely easy to talk to. He’s up on latest treatments and very accessible out of office through the Inova portal. Very responsive to questions and concerns.

I have seen Dr. Falconer only twice so far but my respect for him and the INOVA hospital system in Northern Virginia where he practices, is already firmly established. Dr. Falconer, a neurologist, has impressed me with his deep knowledge of his specialty. He communicates in an open, straightforward manner, is a good listener, and never appears in a hurry. He is helpful in his advice and his grasp of the patient's condition and approach to treatment inspire confidence in his judgment. Overall, I would rank him as an outstanding member of his profession. INOVA's treatment of their patients at all levels --reception, processing, wait time, staff courtesy is excellent. I have not been kept waiting more than 10 minutes beyond the appointed time, which is unusual these days in the medical profession. In sum, my experience with Dr. Falconer and the INOVA system to date have been highly positive.

I have been his patient for almost two years--before and after Deep Brain Stimulation surgery on my left and right hands. At first I thought he wasn't listening to me but we talked it out and, since then, we have gotten along fine. He really seems to care about his patients and wants them to do well.

Dr. Falconer has been treating my father for a number of years for essential tremor disorder with deep brain stimulation implants. I cannot say enough about the deep care, compassion and commitment Dr. Falconer brings to his profession. He is engaged and energetic, and we are so very thankful to have found him. This doctor restored my faith in the medical community. He was everything you want in a doctor and more. He is young but I think that this works in his favor. He is current and up to date and you can tell he absolutely LOVES what he does. He is excited to treat and was the ONLY doctor who could figure out why I was having the issues I was having. 3 doctors couldn't figure the issue. Didn't feel rushed. He walked me through the issue. Can't say enough good things. Keep up the good work
