Great lung doctor
My husband's name comes up, but I am the patient, Peg Henry-Pokusa. And Dr. Herscowitz is the best. The best because I am still breathing, and he is very strait forward in his advice.
Dr. Herscowitz may be a good doctor but I felt like I was not listened to and was rushed out of his office when I saw him. He also lied to me when he said he never told me to do another CT of the chest two weeks after the first CT when he actually did.
My experience with Dr. Herscowitz has been outstanding. He is direct, transparent and down to earth. I never felt rushed and he was always willing to answer any and all questions. As a result, I leave his office with clarity and a plan of action.
Didn’t have time to complete the paperwork before the doctor came out to greet me. He walked me back to his office where I attempted to pay him a compliment with a sterling recommendation that I was given by my son’s daycare provider (one of his patients.) He wasn’t the least bit interested. Hence, he proceeded to talk to me in auctioneer-like fashion. At one point, because of this, I told him I felt more like I was in court under cross than I was at a doctor’s office. This prescription drug commercial side effect talk continued for the entire conference. I told him I was concerned about having bronchitis 4x in the last 2 years, to which he replied, “What do you mean, bronchitis?” To him, it meant something else, he explained. Well, to a patient...it means...bronchitis. I was uncomfortable the entire time I was with him, to the point of annoyance. He cut me off at least twice in conversation, and continued to fire off questions at rapid fire pace. He has little tact or consideration for the natural flow of conversation and the bottom line is, I felt rushed for the entirety of the visit. I called it, “walking into a tornado.” He asked, more than once, if I had questions. I responded, “How could I possibly have any questions?” It. was. a. whirlwind. Proceed with caution. For a doctor with such high marks, I left furious. He ain’t for me. Maybe he will be the doctor for you.
Best doctor ever. Attentive and thorough
Dr. Herscowitz is a very knowledgable, skilled, compassionate, and caring physician. He is very thorough and understanding. I was most impressed with the detail and extent of my medical report and how he coordinated my care with my other physician. He is very prompt in contacting me directly with my test results and advises me on further course of action. I am very grateful to be under his care. Diana E.
Great offfice staff. Excellent medical care.
I was sent to Dr. Herscowitz by my primary care doctor as I was recovering from bronchitis. He took me into his office first and we simply talked, about my overall health and habits and then about my recent illness. Then we progressed to looking at x-rays and charts. He concluded that nothing complicated was going on, although he offered to do a CT scan if I wanted it. I did not, and he was supportive of that choice. Finally, he did a physical exam himself (I don't remember when an MD last took my blood pressure--and it's the first time in years that White Coat Syndrome did not kick in). Check-in and check-out were timely and he was right on schedule. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Dr. Herscowitz is a very knowledgable, skilled and a most caring physician. He is very thorough, understanding, and listens to my complaints without interrupting. I feel very fortunate to have him as my pulmonologist. He is one of the nicest physicians I've ever met. Diana E.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
