Sina Sabet's Online Review Report Card

Very disappointed. Dr. Sabet/Surig's office is in network with my insurance. No claim was filed after my visit in June, then they proceeded to bill me. When EyeMed contacted Dr. Sabet's billing specialist, the billing specialist said she refuses to submit the claim. Additionally, I have headaches all the time right now and that proves that the prescription is wrong which means I have to get a second eye exam to correct the prescription. Money and time wasted.

Did tests that were not necessary

i first submitted an online appointment request and they called to schedule an appointment while i was at work. was surprised to get one a week out, but had to cancel & r/s, surprisingly for the following week. i then realized i needed to not be working in the event they use the drops for examination (which i read is a possibility within their "new patient" information online) deeper into the eye. you can't drive for like 45-90 minutes, so i scheduled for during my vacation. they called for additional information while i was at work. i had 15 five and six year olds in my office, so i could not talk and agreed to try them back on Monday. i forgot, so they called back the following Monday and I was hosting a Zoom meeting for work and could not talk so i let it go to VM. the VM was just they were gathering information about my appointment. i again forgot to call them back, so then Tuesday, two weeks before the June 28 appointment, i was in the middle of loading my car with multiple things for errands i was running. told them that, but I was happy to talk if they could hold on a sec. let me just tell you, these people were the most rude, dismissive I have ever spoken with. between the first person calling June 10, to the person who called June 14, they had an arrogant attitude and insisted I share IF I was referred to see a "NEURO opthamologist" and if so, what condition was it for, and who it was who referred me to them. since that information had already been submitted online, it felt i was being put on the defensive to justify WHY I NEEDED TO BE SEEN. the condition both my Rheumatologist, and optometrist want to rule out is called Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) and can cause blindness. I have 4 of 5 symptoms, including the sister illness called PMR, of which 50% of those patients develop GCA. The fact than anyone was treated as if i didn't DESERVE to have an appointment with Dr. Sabet is ridiculous. these are not the only neuro opthamologists. to be treated with such disrespect is really not acceptable. if this is how they treat POTENTIAL patients, God only knows how dismissive and rude they are to current ones. no thanks!!

Every time I go there for my mom appointment we wait more than a hour, first they call u late when u check in go inside u have to wait more than 40 minutes, what’s the point to make a appointment, if u have time to wait 1 extra hours then go here , at the front counter terrible customer service

I was referred to this doctor but he totally brushed me off and was no help at all.

I was thoroughly impressed with how he quickly diagnosed a complex problem and I was grateful for his caring and soothing manner in a situation that I found somewhat frightening. I also found during this visit and some follow-up phone calls that this practice is exceptionally well-run. This was one of the most positive medical experiences that I have had.

My first visit with Dr. Sabet was on an emergency basis referral. I was thoroughly impressed with how he quickly diagnosed a complex problem and I was grateful for his caring and soothing manner in a situation that I found somewhat frightening. I also found during this visit and some follow-up phone calls that this practice is exceptionally well-run. This was one of the most positive medical experiences that I have had.

Excellent service. Kind and compassionate. He will be the eye doctor for my family from now on.

Awful customer service. I was a first time patient. I was referred to this Dr. Sabet. I waited over a month for an appointment. My appointment was at 3:30pm. I got there I was the only one. After 10 minutes people started showing up. I was at the office until 4:50pm. I still did not see the doctor. I left. They put everyone ahead of me. It appears this doctor doesn’t work with Black patients. They put every white patient ahead of me. That was my first and last time ever going there. They overbooked their appointment. Then they pick and choose who gets to see the doctor first. I was so disappointed. I left work early without pay to see the doctor. I didn’t get to see the doctor after an hour and a half, and I lost my pay.

Terrible customer service and dubious expert opinions. This practice is staffed with multiple doctors and there does not appear anyone who is at the helm overseeing quality assurance. The doctor I met with screwed up my eye prescription and did not conduct a through ophthalmologic exam. I called multiple times to clarify and no doctor returned my call. I asked for Dr. Sabat as well assuming he is the lead. The medical assistants are great. Consumers should go elsewhere if they are concerned about the wellness of their eyes and also to receive an accurate glass prescription, UNACCEPTABLE.
