List of The Kidz Docs Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine's Reviews
We have been going here for about a 13 months now - since our first baby was born. We love the Kidz Docs! We love that they have Saturday hours - we haven't found that anywhere close to us. The nurse line has saved us so many times, I often don't even need to go in. Every doctor we've seen has been great to us and all the nurses wonderful to our daughter. We mostly see Dr. Ferrer and she is so kind, helpful, and reassuring as a pediatrician. When we started going to the pediatrician I was having serious PPD and Dr. Ferrer was so helpful to me and eased so many of my fears. I waited until we'd gone here a while before reviewing because our first impression was not great - mostly with calling the front desk to become new patients. They didn't come off as friendly or helpful. It took more questions than I felt necessary to find out what the process was for new patients. As first time parents - we didn't even know what to ask for or what to expect. A process for helping new patients might be helpful. I'm not taking a star off for that because since then, the front desk staff has always been helpful and welcoming when we arrive. Maybe someone was having a bad day on that day.
The pediatricians at Kidz Docs are wonderful — my family has been coming here since 2014, and the medical care has always been excellent. However, I wanted to share feedback about the new ear-piercing service. I was excited to see that this service is now being offered. I first tried to schedule an appointment in person two months ago and was told to call closer to the date to schedule. When I called again three weeks ago, I was told appointments are only booked a week out. Today, when I called to schedule for December 1, I was told there were no appointments available and that I’d be placed on a waitlist. When I asked for clarification on how appointments could already be full if scheduling only opens a week in advance, I wasn’t given a clear answer. I also asked whether appointments simply weren’t offered that day or if all slots were taken. Unfortunately, the responses I received were curt, and did not address my questions. I was eventually told I’d be added to the waitlist and that Dr. Remus would be asked about availability. I understand that scheduling can be challenging and that demand may be high, but consistent communication and clear explanations would go a long way. I also hope the front-desk and phone staff receive support or training on how to handle inquiries with more clarity and patience. Families calling in are simply trying to understand the process, and a warm, helpful tone makes a big difference in the overall experience. If the practice is going to offer this service, transparent and consistent information about how and when appointments are booked would be extremely helpful. After trying to schedule multiple times over two months, it’s disappointing to now be told there’s a waitlist with no clear explanation of how scheduling works.
We love Kidz Docs so much and have trusted our daughter’s care to them for over a decade. Their team is responsive to urgent questions, are great at coordinating care with specialists, and are wonderful advocates. While a robust practice in Old Town, they have a small practice feel and we do not feel like we are just a number. We are seen and cared for every time we come in. We have seen several providers but mainly Dr. Remus and Kathleen Beckman, both of whom are thorough and awesome. Highly recommend.
We used Kidz docs for 11 years and for 5 children. We've found the medical staff for the most part to be competent, kind, reasonable, and listen to input from families. Their administrative processes and methods have always been frustrating to say the least. That continues after you leave the practice as well! We've moved out of the area, and despite the fact that we set-up access to the online portal, they deactivate accounts after a couple months of inactivity. So, we cannot access any of our child's medical information to see what vaccines they have received in order to establish pediatric primary care at our new location. They have a cumbersome & EXPENSIVE process to get the child's medical records faxed (we are still faxing documents) to the new pediatrician's office- $25 per child to have medical records sent to a new office. And since they have deactivated my access to my children's records online, I can't print them myself. I called them to ask if they would reactivate my account so I could access records online, and they said "No" they would only do that if we came in for another appointment (we are now 2000 miles away). I don't understand why they can't reactivate my account so I can access records online. Maybe they can send me an answer to that. I would choose a different office whose administration puts the patient first, and doesn't treat every interaction as a step of business workflow and revenue generation.
Best pediatric doctors we have seen. Always extremely nice and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
We’ve brought our 3 kids to the KidzDocs over the past 10 years and love and trust the practice. We’ve seen Dr. Remus and Dr. Ferrer primarily, as well as the other doctors and nurses for sick visits. Their staff is intuitive, compassionate, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. Great for both new parents and seasoned ones.
They are amazing! & everytime my daughter is sick they have same day appts. I highly recommend them!
I’ve had a great experience with this practice! They were always good, and now with their new location, they’re even better. The space is clean, and they have two separate areas—so when you come in for a wellness visit, your child isn’t exposed to other viruses. My daughter’s pediatrician is Dr. Jenie Ferrer, and she’s always clear about what to expect at each stage of development. When my daughter is sick, Dr. Ferrer is responsive and reassuring. We’ve even been able to schedule same-day sick visits and get seen within hours—honestly, faster than an ER. From our first visit when I was pregnant to now, two years later, our experience has been consistently great.
I recently switched practices to The Kidz Doc because I heard they have doctors on staff that can help kiddos with weight management. My poor kiddo is pre-diabetic, and so while it pained me to be leaving a practice my kids had been at since babies, I went for it. And I’m so so glad I did. First, the office is immaculate. The front desk staff are so friendly and efficient. The nurse who took vitals was very kind. Most importantly Dr Tannous was wonderful. She was very attentive and took her time. She listened to our concerns and worked with us to find a solution we all felt comfortable with. I highly recommend this practice if you’re looking for excellent doctors in a pristine setting.
Update: I’m still receiving bills from this office - even after both of my children were released from their care. I spent over ten minutes on hold trying to rectify their billing issues. I used to love this office, we've been patients for over 5 years and both of my children have received care. Lately though, it's been a cash grab and I get charged for everything, every phone call, every paper, everything they can think of, the bill me for. The most recent issue was when I received TWO bills for "a mental health" check that was unknowingly done during my children's wellness visit. Wellness visits are covered by my insurance at 100%. They gave me a paper to fill out about my children's mental health and then BILLED my insurance and myself (for the co-pay) for a form I filled out. I'm researching a new office immediately. The doctors should be embarrassed. Parents beware, they will try and up-charge you for medical services that are unnecessary. CPS should be called. I called your office before I left the review - but I wasn't willing to pay the "small fee" for the return call to discuss my bill. I'll take my business elsewhere and will recommend the same to my friends and neighbors.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
