Dr. Martinelli was very pleasant and took time to explain why I am having pain and “issues” with my knee. The whole visit, from check-in, xrays, nurses, was a good experience. I highly recommend Ortho Virginia.

Dr. Martinelli is an excellent Orthopedic doctor. He is very knowledgeable and will explain everything in layman's terms so that you fully understand what will be happening before, during and after your procedure. I needed a total hip replacement and was unable to put any weight on my right leg at all prior to my surgery without being in excruciating pain. But after the surgery I could put weight on my leg and was in much less pain immediately afterwards. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopedic doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Martinelli! I am so greatful to have met you.

Best doctor I have seen. Gives clear answers. Replaced my mothers knees 10 years ago and she is doing great. Now my turn is coming fast and I trust Dr. Martinelli 100%.

Patient welfare is a top priority for Dr. Martinelli. He performed my total hip replacement surgery a few weeks ago and my recovery is going great. I was very happy with the overall experience, Dr. Martinelli 's expertise and bedside manner. He is a very skilled professional and I felt comfortable throughout and trust his judgement. Elsie, Dr. Martinelli's scheduling assistant is especially kind, caring and compassionate; a joy to work with!

Doctor Martinelli is great! He’s one of those rare doctors that really gives you his time and attention while being invested in making you better. He’s kind, patient, and has exceptional bedside manner. A lovely experience seeing him. Would definitely recommend him!

Leaving after 15+ years, office now an appt. factory. < 10 min/appt for last 3 visits. Have knee and shoulder injury. 2 staff said I can only see DM for one injury/appt. "for insurance reasons." Billing insur. 2xs? DM asked which injury wanted checked. Got out only 10 words before cut me off and literally yelled that I was "[10 minutes] late to my [2:00 p.m. appt.]! It's now 2:30! Pick a body part now!" Examines shoulder for 3 minutes, says probably tendonitis or rotator cuff tear. Gives Rx for PT, leaves before any questions. Typical except for yelling. In waiting room 20+ mins., then rushed 10 minute exam. Brings scribe and PA to each appt. Three people to see 1 patient about 1 body part for 10 minutes. Plus, Ortho's new locations, increased staffing, etc. Patient care should not suffer to fund extra overhead! Imagine GP telling Px, “we can only talk about your heart disease this appt., you’ll need another appt. to discuss your high blood pressure.” Shameful.
