List of Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry Alexandria's Reviews
I have been counceling with Thriveworks for 6 months. I asked 30 hours in advance to cancel an appointment for the first time and got told $135. Complet BS! Roll out the red carpet for your good clients! I'm quitting therapy because of this. The first therapist I had was trash anyway. They hire people that can't get hired elsewhere. Change your policy and you might get better reviews. my tutoring company I ask 24 hours but roll out the red carpet for my VIP clients. You could learn some customer service from me.
Very good
Went to a session, therapist then suggested we ended the session early, then pushed a bill through for a "missed session" of $135. I will absolutely tell others to stay away
This business DOES NOT support VETERANS. I have been on hold for 20 minutes just to check up on my medical records request ticket. The support here isn’t support at all, and calling it that would be a joke. They recite a script for you on the status of your ticket and lie about it. I’ve had two separate people by the SAME NUMBER that I WAS PROVIDED BY AUTOMATED EMAIL RESPONSE ABOUT MY TICKET, where guy by the name of Christian lied to me about the status of my ticket. I knew he was lying because the next time I called, a guy told me that I had the wrong number and I had called the IT support number, that they don’t have access to ticket statuses. Once I got the actual support number, I have been told the same story during each call. This business lies to veterans and after I get my disability records, I will never use this company for support, ever again. There are points of failure on so many levels that it amazes me how you people maintain a source of income. Do yourself a favor, don’t go to this place for help. I made a mistake of not researching too deeply and now I’m stuck in a loop of trying to get my medical records so that I can finish my VA disability claim and finally get the help I need. This company will only delay that process.
I love my therapist! She makes me feel so comfortable and unjudged and that she actually wants me to succeed.
Outstanding customer service and professionalism
“She’s very empathetic and kind, and she asks questions at a slow pace. Impatient people might not find it a good fit, but I really enjoy talking with her.”
My counselor was great to work with.
My visit was fine. Got off to a rough start but we recovered and moved forward. I had challenges with the intake paperwork and got frustrated with it. My wife and the counselor helped through it.
My daughter is really enjoying her session with Kayla Dot. My daughter brought along a book for anxiety and she’s able to open up to her so I look forward to more visits with her. I also like that we can have a Zoom call and not miss the appointment

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
