List of Virginia Heart- Alexandria's Reviews
very enjoyable, very professional
I received cheerful, professional, and courteous service from everyone I interacted with during my visit.
The staff was professional, welcoming and efficient. My appointment started on time and the techs treated me with kindness and respect.
The quality of care I received from Dr. Rubin and Virginia Heart was at the highest level. Dr. Rubin is thorough and patient including taking his time explaining options. The staff is professional and easy to work with. I couldn’t be happier with the care received. Thank you.
I appreciate the staff at Virginia Heart Alexandria. They are professional and courteous. I've been coming to this office since 2015 and love the new space!
I liked my doctor here but this place is some combination of predatory and incompetent. They steered me to an in-house procedure that they were doing to charge an exorbitant rate for—I instead got the same procedure for 90% cheaper (!) from a different provider. They kept me on hold for 30 minutes leading into their 1-hour lunch break, failed to provide a medical record I requested, and lost track of my payments after they backdated my invoice date. Stay away! There are other cardiologists in this area that are far more trustworthy.

A doctor at Inova Alexandria Hospital’s ER referred me to Virginia Heart. The facility was nice, the front desk staff was professional. But the best part was my discussion with Dr. Jonathan Segal. He seemed young, so I was a little concerned when he walked in. He was technically proficient when examining me, but the morst striking thing was his way of interacting with patients. He obviously came up after the public started being able to research medical conditions on the internet. He treated me as a partner: gave me a diagnosis with explanation for his diagnosis, discussed a range of behavior modification and pharmaceutical options, gave me his recommendation about which options he thought were most appropriate for me, and how he would alter his recommendation if other factors change. And we agreed on future exams, treatments, monitoring, etc. In short, he was a great doctor for the modern age. More collaborative with me as a patient, but prescriptive where he felt it necessary.
Experience was fine.
Love the doctor, love VA Heart but really hate having to wait an hour and half to be seen. Then appointments should be made accordingly. In that office it happens everytime!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
