Z Chris Md's Online Review Report Card

Inova website says he's accepting new patients. I spent 30 mins filing out the forms for an appointment including filing in all insurance and payment info. Received confirmation of appointment by text and email. Then, I get a call saying my appointment is being cancelled because he's not accepting new patients. WTF? Get your sh!t together. However, if his medical skills are anything like his admin skills, I probably dodged a bullet.

Dr Z seems to take a genuine interest in his patients. Very patient and respectful. Great listener. Good sense of humor and highly competent from a technical standpoint. I feel fortunate to have him as my Dr.

Dr. is good. Staff is not. Received a call today that they no longer will take CIGNA insurance. Asked if all Inova or just this Dr.? Was told "I don't know, but we can't help you any longer. Call your insurance company", and hung up. So now left out in the cold without any notice. Poor business practice.

Dr. seems good. Made appointment months ago. His staff called today and said they are cancelling because they will no longer take CIGNA insurance. Asked if just him or all Inova. Was told "I have no idea, you will need to call your insurance. We cannot help you", and hung up. Dr. seems good, but staff is terribly rude. CIGNA rep called them to verify, and he said they were rude to him as well. Unprofessional staff.

Dr. Z was on my new plan but I had to wait 5 months to get an appointment with him. I'm diabetic. The appointment was uneventful but I needed to contact him about a form I'd left for him to fill out since he took the form but didn't send it back. When I didn't hear anything from him after a month I called and left a message I was told would be given to him. I heard nothing. After another 5 weeks went by, I wrote him a personal note sent to his office asking him to please help me with the form I'd left with him. I heard nothing. That was 3 months ago. I selected him from my plan to be my primary care doctor and after almost 9 months since I made that appointment, there's no resolution, no contact or explanation from Dr. Z. Basically, Dr. Z ghosted me. As a diabetic, I can't afford not to have a doctor I can see. This is unprofessional behavior by a physician who accepted someone as a patient. I wouldn't recommend him.

I have gone to Dr. Chris for many years and followed him to his "new" practice in NoVa even though I live in DC. He is an excellent doctor, listener, and problem solver. His bedside manner is knowledgeable but humble and he recognizes how important the patients voice is in any treatment decision. I have recommended many people to Dr Chris all of whom have thanked me for the recommendation because of his attention to detail, skill, and compassion.

DR. CHRIS IS A REMARKABLE PHYSICIAN WHO IS GENTLE IN HIS APPRAOCH AND GIVES A PATIENT ALL THE TIME THAT IS NEEDED.

I have been going to Dr. Chris for over a decade and even followed him when he moved his practice to Inova (I live in DC). He is a wonderful listener and learns with the changes body of knowledge in medicine. I can be a difficult patient for some doctors because I am also trained in biomedical sciences but Dr. Chris's humility, wisdom, and bedside manner are collaborative and reflect his priority being treating the whole patient not just a symptom or disease. I have recommend him countless times to friends, who have thanked me for the referral.

I've been seeing Dr. Chris since 2003 and hope he never leaves the area. I've sent many friends/colleagues to him. He is one of the most caring and thoughtful doctor's out there, and I would know. When he moved to a practice in Alexandria, I tried seeing doctors in my neighborhood and felt zero empathy or received any guidance. Additionally, he's respectful of your time and will call to follow up in case of a serious issue.
