My mom was transported to the hospital and placed in Dr.Bloom’s care after an accident. She arrived in a neck brace that Dr.Allyson G Bloom unfastened(briefly) to check her neck and head. She QUICKLY left the neck brace incorrectly placed(with the part that was suppose to support the underside of the chin/neck(up and stable) on, tightly against her bottom jaw and face area almost covering her mouth. My mom was in pain after her accident but more so because of the misplaced neck brace. We called TWICE by intercom for anyone to come replace or adjust the neck brace. We waited over 30 minutes before I went asking for the nearest help to provide assistance. Which was finally kindly provided by nurse Fritz(other nearby nurses told me to wait while I continued asking for help that had never come). No doctor should be so CARELESS with a patient and especially any patient suspected of a neck injury. Truly an awful and incomprehensible experience. Dr. Allyson G Bloom is IRRESPONSIBLE and NEGLIGENT. 17 years of experience and specialty in EMERGENCY MEDICINE yet MEDIOCRE at best. Do not put your trust in Dr. Allyson G Bloom. Inova should thoroughly re-evaluate her worth ethics and placement of Dr. BLOOM.
