List of Charbel Awad's Reviews
Dr. Charbel Awad is in the wrong profession. A very poor example of a doctor and a human being. We drove 55 minutes to see him when my wife was eight months pregnant. There was a traffic accident and the cops made us take a detour. So we were 15 minutes late. He refused to see my wife, even though there was no other patient waiting. And even if there were, what kind of a human being does that? He is in a profession to help and heal. But he is not into it. Another time, when he did see my wife - again a 55 min drive - he spent barely two minutes with her and just left us in the room! We thought he would return but no! Apparently he was done. If you can AVOID DR. AWAD, please do. Dr. Charbel Awad is a PATHETIC option for a doctor.
Dr. Charbel Awad, MD was the leading doctor on my surgery and it has been life-changing. He left me with infected incisions, 1 of which has turned into a keloid. I also have damaged nerves which brings pain of tingling, burning and numbness on a daily basis. I now have to take medicine everyday for the pain. I went into surgery to fix 1 health issue and came out with entirely new ones. PLEASE do your research and choose a doctor that believes and ensures that Your Health Matters.
Dr. Charbel Awad, MD was the lead doctor on my surgery & it has changed my life for the worse. There were 3 incision sites; 1 was stitched improperly & later formed into a keloid. 2 of the sites became infected. During my 2 wk Post Op, I expressed concerns about the incisions & he insisted there was no infection. When asked who stitched the site improperly, he said he did & tried to change the subject. However, I circled back to the same question in our conversation & he then said that someone else did because he does not stitch well. It is very disheartening for a patient to hear their doctor's answer to their concerns constantly changing. Needless to say, I got a 2nd opinion and found that 2 of the sites were indeed infected, including the site that was improperly stitched. I also have nerve damage due to the surgery, where I feel constant numbness & pains of burning/tingling. I take medicine everyday for the pain. Please do your research & find a doctor who values you & your health

During my 2 week Post Op with Dr. Awad, I expressed concerns about the incisions appearing to be infected and he insisted that they were not. When I asked who stitched the site that was improperly stitched, he said he did and tried to change the subject. However, I circled back to the same question in our conversation and he then said that someone else did because he does not stitch well. During that time, he was taking a closer look at that specific site and actually ripped the scab off and it began bleeding. He chuckled and said, look what you made me do, (not joking, a very true story.) Needless to say, I got a 2nd opinion and found that 2 of the sites were indeed infected, which included the site that was improperly stitched. Since the surgery, I have been experiencing nerve damage where I feel constant numbness with the pain of burning and tingling sensations on a daily basis. I now take medicine everyday for the pain so that I could resume a somewhat "normal life". Everything Dr. Awad does is fast; he talks fast; he will began answering your question before fully hearing it. He gets confused on what he has told you before...saying one thing and when asked the same question - saying something completely different. It is all very confusing and disheartening for a patient to hear their doctor's answer to their concerns constantly changing. Your visits with Dr. Awad will be fast as well, as it seems the Annandale Ob-Gyn practice believes in quantity, over quality with some patients, including their surgeries. This surgery has changed my life - getting rid of 1 health problem and bringing on entirely new health problems in its course. Dr. Charbel Awad, MD is untruthful, untrustworthy and in my opinion, unethical. Simply put, with my experience - Dr. Charbel Awad is not a doctor you'd want caring for you. Please do your research and find a doctor who values you as a patient; taking the time to fully listen, addressing your concerns and truly believing that Your Health Matters.
This is the worst doctor I went to in Virginia, does not deserve one star, and I had a bad experience with him that almost led to death because he does not have the knowledge and experience in diagnosing. He examined the patient twice in the ultrasound and did not know that there was internal bleeding, the cause of a severe drop in pressure, and when I asked him about the cause of this condition, ...
Dr. Awad is a great gynecologist! I am a new patient of his and he made me feel comfortable. He showed concern for my health and made sure to answer all my questions. It was also a very quick appointment. I had no issues with my visit!
He is a great doctor and I was fully satisfied after visiting him and he has best knowledge and strategy about the patients. He gives attention to the details of patients problems and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
