List of Donna Mazloomdoost's Reviews
She is one of the most caring health professionals that I ever had and I've had plenty. I totally trust her and you'd be in good care!
Dr. Maz is very knowledgable. I was impressed with her thoroughness. I came in for a fybroid removal with Georgetown's Bloodless center and she has been wonderful. She is very gentle and kind and has explained all the details of my surgery. In my experience I have not had to wait but even if I did it would be worth it! She is awesome.
Dr. M is by far one of the most superb physicians I have ever met (and my profession is based in the hospital, so there are many comparisons). She is empathetic, intelligent, and not judgmental. She usually isn't on time, but this is chalked up to a number of factors unrelated to her own practices, but rather the way that the office runs. Furthermore, even though you're more than likely to be kept waiting, she makes sure to take all the time necessary to answer your questions and make sure your medications are right for you (in addition to being covered by your insurance). I went in very stressed about a number of things and left with an overwhelming sense of relief. I hate anything related to gynecology, but Dr. M makes me want to become an OBGYN so that more patients can experience physicians with an attitude and demeanor like hers.
Took 4 months just to get an appointment. A week before, the doctor decides she wants that day off. They can't reschedule me for another 3-4 months. So lame. This doctor clearly has no regard for her patients.

She's great and very well informed. She doesn't judge like some ob/gyn's and she is very easy to talk too. I highly recommend her!
They mess up all appointments in this practice. They can lose your appointment at all and you will wait for hours. Then she clearly shows that she would love you disappear from her today schedule. Yes, of course, she smiles, but so insincerely. She does not help the patient who needs the tests translated to another language to get it. She does not care, because she is paid well anyway, if you are helped or not. There is no feeling that you are welcome. That's the bottom line. General impression that it's one more doctor who came to the field to make a lot of money, not to help people. You just feel it and you do not want to go back to her.
I first saw Dr. M in July 2008 when I couldn't get in to see Dr. Megan Breen, also in the same GU practice. I had an outbreak of herpes, first one in many years, and was very emotional about it. She was empathetic, patient and didn't rush me off after she did the necessary tests. I returned to her in June 2009 for my annual visit and was as pleased as I was the first time. I agree with the poster who said that early morning appointments are the easiest, re: parking and waiting. This is a very busy practice and sometimes the front desk and nursing staff can be a bit short. I highly recommend Dr. Mazloomdoost and have recommended her to colleagues who need a new OB-GYN.
Dr. M. is great. She caught my cancer. Very compassionate & helpful. Gtown is a drag to get to and park, but worth it for the care. Have found that at Gtown if you skd early morning appt the wait time is shorter and parking easier.
Dr. M. was very attentive and knowledgeable on obstetric issues and concerns. Her "youth" is an asset and she is extremely personable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
