Hyunki Shin's Online Review Report Card

Today was my first time at this clinic and I asked Dr.Shins professional opinion on future pregnancy options for myself as I have a condition which makes getting pregnant very hard by one’s self without medical help. I was responded back with backhanded comments about my age, if I was sure this is what I wanted, and eventually told to “ not worry” or even bring up future pregnancy planning until I was “sure” because “lots of women go through depression trying to get pregnant.” This is an actual quote of what he said to me. I really felt spoken down to and now feel very uncomfortable telling him any of my other concerns so I won’t be back. Nurse on duty was very nice.

I had my second baby with Dr. Shin and I appreciate all of his hard work. I could get the sense that he really cares about pregnant women as he was worried about the hot weather and would explain upcoming procedures ahead of time. If there are any issues or problems he will jump right in and help you resolve them as best he can. I had a cesarean section and everything went smoothly, his interaction with the OR staff was amazing. He has a great bedside manner. My experience with Dr. Shin was pleasant and I highly recommend him to future mothers.

I went to do bloodwork for a procedure. Met the nurse and gave the blood. 5 minutes and done. I left. After one month, I was charged not only for the blood work but also a doctor’s office visit. The nurse insisted I me the doctor which was a lie. I NEVER met the doctor on that day! Since my deductible has not met, I had to pay additional $150 besides the lab cost. That was for a simple blood test. Outrageous. I would suggest anyone to avoid this clinic.

Nurses were great, though they double booked us. Wasn't too much of a problem, but the real issue came when we met the doctor for the first time to get an ultrasound. We went to a different OBGYN before, and notified that we had our first pregnancy visit testings (bloodwork, etc) done, as well as the PAP smear test completed. The doctor wanted to do another PAP smear. As he was performing the testing, he touched the private parts multiple times, unnecessary for testing. If that was inappropriate, during the ultrasound, he would, again, touch the private parts. Other OBGYN does NOT touch private parts. Also, the way the doctor speaks felt pretty demeaning. Really frustrating when you hear that you have a 10% chance of miscarriage, rather than your baby seems to be growing well. Also, asking "tell me what do you want to hear" doesn't seem like an appropriate phrase that a doctor should say. People visit doctors to hear what's necessary, but also would not want to hear unnecessary negativity, especially during a pregnancy visit. I can't believe that this doctor has a high rating.

He delivered my beautiful firstborn, and I am grateful to be able to see him now for my precious second. I assess that he genuinely cares for the wellbeing of my baby, which is what is most important to me. He was so calm and skilled during the whole delivery process. I had such a positive delivery experience due to Dr. Shin, and I am really enjoying my second pregnancy because of my faith in him as the doctor I chose. God bless Dr. Shin and his staff!

Dr.Shin is a really compassionate and a responsible doctor. His commitment and his consistency for his work and for his patients made me admire him as a colleague physician. He always likes to listen to others and hardly complained about anything. He is a wonderful surgeon too. His staffs are very kind and friendly too. I always recommend him to anybody who is looking for OBGYN physician. Especially I recommend him to patient who needs cesarean section. He is the best.

I have been going to Dr. Shins for about 13 years. He has delivered all four of my pregnancies. Honestly speaking I couldn’t thank him enough. His staff since day one have always been so kind to me always asking about my kids when I go. I barely wait takes them 5-10 min to take me back. Dr. Shin is knowledgeable, professional, takes the time to sit and explain things draws it out if he has to just for me to understand. I have had complications with two of my pregnancies and wow he has handled it well!! Best obgyn ! I had high bp in one of my pregnancies and I remember how well he handled it he knew what to do right after my delivery. Thank you Dr. Shin for taking care of me and the most precious thing to me which are my babies. I can’t thank you enough for always proceeding with caution, care, knowledge, and professionalism. He is an amazing doctor the best in my opinion!

I love Dr. shin and his staff! They are all so sweet and professional. I have been going to him for 10 years. He has delivered all 3 of my babies via C- section and there isn’t any other Doctor I would trust besides him to do so!

Dr. Shin is the absolute best! When you show up to your appointment you get seen instantly. I have been going for 4 years and 2 different pregnancies and I might have sat in his waiting area 3 times total. His staff is great so helpful and friendly. I am extremely happy with both my pregnancies and deliveries. He explained everything so well and is funny at times. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shin’s office to everyone.
