List of Wesam Silk Md's Reviews
After seeing 2 other eye doctors and not getting relief , my wife went to Dr Silk who then properly diagnosed the problem and it was promptly cured. I plan on seeing him for my own eyes and would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a great eye Doctor. Wish I could give more stars . God bless him.
I highly recommend Dr.Silk for lasik/PRK surgery. I came in for a PRK treatment a couple of months ago and the entire staff was excellent! They were great at making everything easy and comfortable. I am 100% happy that I decided to get my eyes fixed after years of wearing glasses. Dr. Silk helped explain everything before treatment and was very knowledgeable.
Dr. Silk performed PRK on me and now I have perfect vision. He took time to thoroughly examine with pre-op and post-op appointments. He also explained everything in great detail and answered all of our questions. His office staff was kind and very helpful. Jessica was very communicative with us and was very flexible with making necessary changes. Thank you Dr. Silk!
Having my PRK done with Dr. Silk was a wonderful experience. I’ve had deteriorating vision in my right eye for at least ten years and pursued corrective vision multiple times. Every time I got close to committing to the procedure I would see some horror story about how it ruined someone’s life and it would make me sink back into my shell. I finally found Dr. Silk who during our consultation was so easy to talk too. I felt completely comfortable with his approach and he even went the extra mile to call me after work to discuss some of my concerns one day. He’s a good person who genuinely cares about his patients and he is a great Ophthalmologist. In a procedure that lasted less than a minute he changed my life for the better. Thank you and your staff for everything.
My first appointment with Dr. Silk didn't go well at all. I have difficulty seeing letters that are far away yet no suggestion of eyeglasses. To top the visit off I had an allergic reaction to the exam drops. Notify the office by email received email back noting that Dr. Silk will call. I have yet to receive a call regarding my allergic reaction. Imo demonstrates a lack of care for a patient thus highly disappointed and had to seek medical attention elsewhere to address the allergic action. The staff is friendly enough but failed to offer sunglasses to me knowing my eyes were dilated..not cool. Office is clean and great protocol to covid19 in protecting themselves and patients. However Dr. Silk in my case lacked concerned of a new patient that had an allergic reaction to eye drops. First impressions speaks volumes and are long lasting. I cannot recommend Dr. Silk to family or friends even my neighbor that was looking for a new ophthalmologist and have notified my primary care doctor that referred me to Dr. Silk of the lack of concern regarding my eye care. My eye sight is important to me but it seems my eyes were not important to Dr. Silk.
Dr Silk is absolutely wonderful. He performed Cataract surgery on both of my mom's eyes. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. He took his time with my mom and helped ease the whole process. Very knowledgeable and kind.
I came to Dr. Silk's office in search of an eye surgeon who was knowledgeable in the area of Keratoconus. I had been seen by an ophthalmologist, who was subpar, and more concerned with the amount of patients he could fit in. From the staff in the office to Dr. Silk my first visit was great. He had not seen any of my charts, which took some time to be forwarded from my other doctor. I explained to him, my issues with contact wear and my degrading eyesight. He immediately explained procedures that could be used to treat my vision, in both eyes. Once he received my charts, I made another appointment. He immediately explained to me the Intac procedure for the right eye, at which time he confidently and without hesitation told me, that after the procedure I would be seeing 20/20. The procedure was done, and now I went from 20/30 with contacts, to 20/20 without, less than one month post op. We then concentrated on the left eye, which was much worse, which left my vision at 20/30 with contacts that had to be piggy backed due to the bulging and curvature of the cornea. He explained a procedure called DALK, which was a certain type of corneal transplant. Of course, I was nervous, but my vision was deteriorating. So, with that being said, I had the transplant done. Everything was explained to me to detail. I was seeing less than a week later with the naked eye, things I could only see with contact wear. Literature on the DALK transplant procedure advised that for the first year, your vision may fluctuate. My vision does fluctuate, but only slightly. I am 4 1/2 months post op, and could not be happier with Dr. Silk. I am able to see 20/50, with the naked eye, when before the surgery I could not even see 20/200. I would highly recommend Dr. Silk to anyone with Keratoconus. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
I came to Dr. Silk having lost my ability to read after a corneal eye procedure overseas. Despite multiple visits he never told me what was wrong. He told me to use artificial tears and gels. He plugged 2 of my eye drain holes. My vision improved enough that I could sometimes read but not always. I'm a pharmacist and I couldn't work not being able to read. I asked for short-term disability paper work and he said OK for $50. He wrote I was being treated for Dry Eye and he didnt say I couldn't work. How can I fill prescriptions with unreliable eyes? I haven't worked in 4 months. His help hasn't been enough to let me work. He billed me for a device I never received. He hasn't told me anything. Those are the facts.
A very racism doctor (Dr. wesam Silk), well im not sure if he deserves the prefix “Dr.” , he should have known by now some people have language barier and they are not all at the same level. If he is an educated person then he shouldn’t tell all other patients “because of these emigrants and the translations they took all of your times!!!” Thank you doctor for acting like a knowledgeable dictor, the way he treats patients im not even sure if he really has any degrees. All over the country doctors and other places are even providing interpreters but you complain why do we translate everything to the patient and waste others time???
Dr. Wesam Silk is a Great Doctor. Been going to his office the past 5 years. He recently did my Moms Cataract on Both eyes. We are very pleased & happy with the Result. Overall he is the best with Good service.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
