Long but well deserved.... Dr.Hoffman is a Great Respectable Man & EXCELLENT Doctor, not afraid to run tests to rule out things, check & recheck things, provide other resources to seek out deeper treatment options that are highly rated, very easy going/light hearted/funny, but also shows concern in a gentle non alarming way for patients but still be serious for his patients health. Everytime i have to go see him be it a 3 month check up or an unfortunate health issue im always comfortable and feel easy to talk about anything, his office is like a flash back for me as kid with momma along side me when i was terrified scared and dreadful but as i grew to an adult i felt lucky tp have him and my others at the practice, theres a drawing with a large carp? Goldfish? (Kind of the same difference) in a lake with trees/leaves in the water done in i believe pen/and pencil & its beautiful, a front page picture on golfers magazine of him, a fishing picture of him & his family etc. So its a very calming sweet room, Ive ALWAYS ADORED THE CARP DRAWING THOUGH, it's my favorite. He makes sure his patients are well provided for, as well as my parents who have always had him too, i trust him 100% to treat my awesome parents who unfortunately deal with a lot these days as they get older and they also appreciate him as their Dr. Too. Ive known him since my childhood, as well as the other Doctors i would see occasionally, Like Dr. Powell & Schalcosky, I also through the years met Dr.Wright, shes great and i had a younger lady too Dr.Quarles, super nice/great lady Dr.'s. Left the practice just for a while when i worked in the city for better appoinment availability but came back to be with my drs who knew me ,all my original history, tests, genetics and more as i trust them and have known them longer and feel comfortable at my hometown office. The nurses and staff are great too, they understand and have personalities vs modern robot healthcare personas, its way more family based in our little small town and i love it!, thank you all for being so amazing to my family and myself all these years, im really going to miss Dr.Hoffman when he retires but i hope he gets to do all the things hes ever wanted to do with his retirement ❤️ im hoping that includes more fishing trips! Thanks so much for all of you- Whitney
He kept me waiting for 30 minutes while he had a casual conversation with a drug rep in another room. Subsequently, he spent 8 minutes with me, not addressing some of my concerns (blowing them off), and wrote three prescriptions without going over them with me. The pharmacist could not believe that I had been prescribed meds with no knowledge of whether they should be taken together or not, since two of the meds were for a similar problem. After 20 years of giving second chances and putting up with below-par bedside mannerisms, it is time for me to move on. Good luck if you choose this duck.
He is the best
Both my husband and I have been going to Dr. Hoffman for years. He is a patient listener, understanding, and willing to discuss options, and give guidance. He and his staff are very professional while still being concerned and friendly. We literally trust him with our lives.
I've been seeing Dr. Hoffman for a few years or so now and he is always good at figuring out any illness I've had. This office is nice in that if my regular doc isn't available, I can see another doctor in the office.
My husband and I both see him. He is very nice and easy to talk to. He doesn't rush you. He even told me to not bother with an expensive prescription and told me to use a cheaper otc drug that works just as well. That's pretty nice considering a lot of doctors try to push prescriptions on you. He also helped me find a different pulmonologist (I didn't like my current one). He has been very responsive to phone calls and has e-mail available to reach him.
I am have been on diability from 2003. I moved here 2005. My disability is based on extreme epilesy and degenertive disc disorder. the (Dr.) put me on 5mg hydrocdone.for a year& a half. And then my disc sterted falling apart. Dr. Swarm gave me 5 steriod shots in may & 4 more in june. I had a lot of trouble getting stronger pain medicine even with going to the emergensy & they prescibed oxvcodne for which he protessed. He conceded apon my mood at the time. He gave me three of these at 50 pills taken @ 6 hours apart. He decide I must be getting a habit on these pills because it took me a month to take 50 pills @ 1 pill every 6 hours. (You do the math) He decides to put me on the same medicine (5mg Hydrocodone) & muscle relaxers. My question is two parts. Why put me back on the same pain medine I took for years after having a ruptured disc & why does it take to get pills when ordering a week a hesd of time. last time the pharmacist told me the called three times just for muscle relavers

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
