Amy Kotecha's Online Review Report Card

I just had a great visit to see Dr. Kotecha. I really appreciate how she took the time to explain in details about my aging eyes and how to care for it. It is such a huge difference between eye doctors. She has a great team there because I walked out knowing I would come back without hesitation. I hate doctor visits but, this one was easy. Hopefully, having my glasses made elsewhere will be just as simple. Guys, I recommend Capital Vision. -Pete

If I could give no stars, I would. I truly wish I had read the reviews posted here before I booked an appointment, but she was a doctor referral so I didn't feel the need. However, most of the reviews regarding her tardiness are very accurate. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 1:30 appointment. I was called back by the tech at 2:00, and she was friendly but not very knowledgeable. She also zapped my eye when she tried to take my eye pressure and that was very painful. I was told to wait, but I did not see a doctor until 2:43. Dr. Kotecha was curt and dismissive. She also kept interrupting me when I tried to talk. One alarming point is that she asked if I wore glasses. Clearly, she didn't even look at my chart before coming in. She gave me a prescription for my eye issue and told me she would see me in a month to see if we needed to do anything further. She then handed me my paperwork and said to check out at the front desk. I went to look at my phone to see how long the visit was and evidently that was too long for her because she more forcefully told me I could go and that I needed to check out at the front desk. I was walking out of her office at 2:49, and that included making my payment. She saw me for less than 5 minutes!!!

I had a contact emergency on a Saturday and she went out of her way to help me. She followed up several days after the incident to make sure my eye was healing. Love her

I can’t wrap around the fact that a vision center doesn’t take vision insurance? You get seen, leave and staff says your “all set” then you get a $150+ bill with no explanation of what you’re being charged for. Not the place to go for anything minor unless you want to overpay

I have been going to Dr. Kotecha for several years and think she is great. She is very caring and thorough. I have annual checkups with testing, and she also did surgery on my eyelids. She did a fantastic job; it all turned out perfect. I highly recommend her and her staff.

I normally do not post reviews, but Dr. Amy Kotecha deserves a shout out. IMHO, she is the best of the best Ophthalmologists I have seen, out of 8 in my life. Dr. K is professional, thorough, efficient, and most caring. She and her office staff are the most kind, caring, and personable people you could ever want. She sets high expectations for the staff and leads by example. I should disclose that Dr. Kotechka noticed a small anomoly years ago and kept an eye for any problems. When it changed, she sent me to an eye surgeon immediately and saved my life. I would be dead now if Dr. Kotecha had not monitored that anomoly. Only 5 out of a million get cancer in the eye and I don't know if the average ophthalmologist would have known about it and how important that it was to get treated instantly. I unconditionally recommend Dr. Amy Kotecha as an ophthalmologist.

Dr K is great!!! Nice office and staff. Dr Kotecha is efficient, thorough, and an excellent doctor and surgeon who also has excellent bedside manners. I bring my mother in law for treatment for her macular degeneration here and I have had Lasik and Botox performed by Dr Kotecha. All of her treatments have been excellent !

Dr. Kotecha is thoughtful and cares about her patients deeply. She is a very knowledgeable ophthalmologist and is very thoughtful. I would recommend my family and friends to go to her.

I had a very short and careless exam after a long time waiting. Dr. Kotecha even didn't willing to give me a chance to ask a few questions while she was telling me I need a small surgery. And then I received an additional bill from them for that careless exam. A very unpleasant experience. The worst doctor I've ever seen.
