Dr. David was unbelievable. He took care of an issue I’d be suffering with for five years and fixed it with a two hour surgery. He was personable and kind, let me choose the music in the OR, and his residents were equally kind and well trained. He followed up and took care of any issues that arose after surgery. I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Dr. David rocks! He performed an emergency hiatal hernia surgery for my 87-year-old mother and she has made a great recovery. He is a great listener too which isn’t the case with many doctors.

After a month of abdominal pain and a trip to the ER, I learned I had gallstones, I met with Dr. David as a follow up from my ER visit about a week later. His staff (front desk and nurses) were friendly, professional, and attentive. My appointments were never delayed, nor did I have to wait long periods to speak with Dr. David. During my initial consultation, he was honest, direct, and walked me through all options. He shared that my symptoms didn't present like a typical gallbladder attack, but I indeed had several gallstones and that the surgery would be needed at some point. He didn't push me to make an immediate decision and took the time to answer my questions so that I could indeed make an informed decision. I had a quick turn-around for my surgery date; about a week later and the day of, Dr. David came in to check on me and make sure I didn't have additional questions. Overall, the surgery went great and my post-op appointment with Dr. David went well and he took time to talk me through the final steps of healing. Overall, I had a great experience; Dr. David, his team, and all of VA Hospital staff were amazing. I'm no longer in pain and healing fast.

Dr. David was exceptional at communicating the benefits of surgery and pre/post surgery expectations. The staff in the office and all the Virginia Hospital Center staff involved in my surgery from the receptionist to the nurses to the anesthesiologist made me feel comfortable and calm the entire way. I left the hospital clearly knowing what to expect and how to best recover to 100%.
